Chapter 12
I was 2 and I was known for wondering around without telling anyone. I'm wondering around by the pack houses right now actually. Other kids around my age are running and playing tag with other kids. I feel so lonely, I miss my brother and sister. I look at the kids and tears start swell up in my eyes. This one kid sees me with the tears in my eyes and looks at me confused. No I don't want to cry in front of someone so adorable and so I turn around and run past a house and into the woods. I'm sitting by a tree and I don't know where I am, all I know is that my legs are close to my chest and my arms are holding them there and I'm crying my eyes out then all of a sudden I hear a twig snap. I look around and everything is a little blurry with the tears and everything
"Hello. Who's there? My parent will hurt you if you do anything to me" I said trying to scare away who ever was there. The boy that seen me with tears in my eyes came out of hiding and walked over to me until he was in front of me.
"What do you want?" I asked and he just sat down criss-cross in front of me and just stared at me looking intrigued
"Go away. I want to be alone" I said
"No you don't" he said matter-of-factly
"How do you know" I replied a little rudely so he would leave me alone even though it's kind of nice that he's here with me
"Because when you looked at everyone together and having fun you started crying but before you seen that you were smile brightly. Do you miss someone" he said and i whiped the tears off my face with the back of my hand
"I miss my brother and sister. My sister is with my grandma and my brother is-is dead" I said crying again
"I'm sorry. I have someone that I love who died to. It was my older sister. She was killed by a rouge" he said and he looked at me with sadness. He scooted over and now he was sitting right next to me then he hugged me and I was a little weirded out by that but pretty soon I hugged him back and cried into his chest.
Once I was done crying I stopped hugging him and he let me go. I look at him and smile
"What your name?" I said with interest
"Neal Michaels" he said. (Pronounced Mike-ULLS)
"And you?" He asked
"Athena Heat" I said and his eyes got huge recognizing my last name
"Your one of the daughters to the alpha and Luna" he said and I nodded
"Does that matter? If it does you can leave if you want" I said looking at the ground finding it suddenly very interesting
"No, no. I was just surprised I didn't recognize you" he said and I looked back up at him and I practically jumped at him trying to hug him. He went back a little but he soon started hugging me back
"Want to be my friend?" I asked while still hugging him
"I would love to" he said and I could hear the smile in his voice. I let him out of the hug and he stands up. He offered one of his hands to me and I put my hand in his then he pulled me up. I whiped of my butt and looked around not remembering what way I came from
"Which way do we go?" I asked getting a little scared
"Here I know the way" he said then grabbed my hand and started walking dragging me along with him.
