"..bowling? Jace and I were thinking about going next week," August quickly filled in.

All the sudden movements made me jolt awake. Was that really what Jace wanted to ask?

"Yes, I didn't know you were here so I came to ask Jen about it," he said.

"Sure, I'd love to go," Laela replied shyly and a bit too high - pitched.

What was going on here? Laela was anything but shy. Actually, she was the most confident girl I knew. Why didn't she tell me she had something for my brother? Why didn't I notice? Laela and Jace?

"Jen.. jen.. JEN!" He yelled.

"Laela and Jace?" I quickly covered my mouth. I didn't mean to say that out loud.

"I think it's a great idea to be honest. Lace? Jaela? I ship it," August laughed.

As I turned to look at August through the laptop screen I realized he was laughing uncontrollably. His blonde hair falling over his face as he tried to calm himself down.

"No, there's nothing going on Jen. Trust me. She's not my type," Jace said trying to reassure me. As he said this though I noticed Laela shift awkwardly on the bed.

Was she offended? Why? Jay has said this before. Something wasn't adding up.

"So it's a yes on bowling right? I'm going to sleep. Goodnight," he said.

"So am I. Talk to you tomorrow princess," August replied, "later Jace," he said with a smirk as he directed that goodbye to Laela.

She just rolled her eyes then five minutes later they were all gone and Laela was fast asleep. I then decided to watch an episode of Supernatural. I couldn't while Laela was awake, she always complained that it gave her nightmares.

Twenty minutes into my episode I heard a phone vibrate. It was Laela's. Who could be texting her this late? Well technically, who could be texting her this early in the morning? Yes I know curiosity killed the cat. But I'm not a cat, so I pressed the center button on her phone to see who it was.

The cell number wasn't saved in her phone but I couldn't believe what the message said;

Listen, this is my last warning. If you don't give me what I want, I WILL come after you AND your loved ones. You have one week.
