I helped Alaric and Jeremy lug my stuff into the house. We were done in about 2 hours. "Ugh." I groaned while rubbing my aching arms. "Grill?" Jeremy asked. "Uh, sure." I said. "We're walking." Jeremy said.  "Why?!" I groaned. "Because you need exercise!" Jeremy exclaimed. "I'm 80 pounds! I'm the size of a toothpick!" I whined. "We're still walking!" Jeremy said, pulling me out of the house. "Ugh!" I groaned loudly. "Oh, come on." Jeremy chuckled. "Excuse me if I don't have the energy of a frickin' cheetah!" I snapped. Jeremy laughed. We walked for about 5 minutes before walking into the Mystic Grill.

There were people drinking and laughing. Elena was sitting with her friends. "There's Elena." He pushed me toward her. I grabbed his arm. "I'd rather hang out with you." I pleaded. "Fine. We're meeting Matt and Tyler." Jeremy said. "Alright." I muttered and followed Jeremy to a boy with strawberry blonde hair and another with dark brown hair and big muscles. "Guys this is my cousin, Vienna. Vienna this is Matt and Tyler." He motioned to each one. "Hi." I mumbled. "Hey." Matt smiled. Tyler was staring at a blonde girl who was sitting with Elena. "I think I'm gonna go talk to Elena." I said. "Ok." Jeremy said.

I headed for my cousin, but bumped into someone. "So sorry, love." A british voice apoligized. I looked up to come face to face with a gorgeous man. He had light brown curly hair, emerald green eyes, a blinding smile, and tan-ish skin. "Don't worry about it." I muttered and moved past him. Elena was apparently watching. "What?" I questioned her slightly scared/pissed look. "Stay away from him. He's dangerous." Elena said, dead serious. "Um, ok." I said, confused. "I'm serious. He's dangerous. More then you know." Elena warned me. "I'll stay away." I said with my hands up in surrender. Her expression lightened visibly. She patted the empty seat next to her. I sat down with a smile. "So Vienna, anybody you're interested in yet?" Caroline asked. The supposed dangerous man. "Uh, not yet." I lied.

"So when are you starting school?" Caroline asked. "2 weeks." I said. "That means 2 weeks of free time." Bonnie noted. "That means 2 weeks of boredom." I said. "Maybe Damon would be able to look after her until school?" Caroline asked Elena. "I don't know...." Elena bit her lip. "Who's Damon?" I asked. "Come on, I'll introduce you." Caroline said, linking her arm with mine. She led me to a black haired man who just so happened to be sitting next to my mystery man. "Damon, I want you to meet Vienna. Elena's cousin." Caroline said. "Nice to meet you." Damon smiled with dazzling white teeth. "Anyway, Elena, Bonnie, and I were wondering if you could make sure she doesn't get into any trouble until school starts." Caroline said. "Sure, I'll keep her out of trouble." Damon nodded. "Good luck." I snorted.

"So, you 2 get to know each other." Caroline said and pushed me toward the empty seat between Damon and Mystery Man. "Ok." I muttered. Stay away from him. He's dangerous. More then you know. Elena's words echoed in my head. I shook it off and sat down. "You're Elena's cousin?" Damon asked, obviously put off by my looks. "Yeah." I said. "What's your last name?" Damon asked. "Kane." I replied. "One of the founding families." Damon nodded. "Yup." I said. "Who were your parents?" Damon asked. "Dean Kane and Demetria Kane." I replied. "Demetria Kane. That's sounds familiar." Damon furrowed his brow. "She used to live here." I said. "Hmm." He hummed. My phone buzzed in my pocket.

Ready to go do something fun? I can tell youre bored.

-Jeremy.

I looked over to my cousin with a wary expression.

Like what?

-Vv.

I waited for him to reply.

Just meeting a friends at Fell's church.

Meeting friends at Fell's church is never just that. It normally involves drugs. Pfft, screw it.

You mean druggies. But sure whatever.

I slipped my phone back in my pocket and excused myself. "I have to go with Jeremy. See you later." I said. He grabbed my arm, but not tightly. "Don't do anything reckless, alright? I don't need Elena chewing my ass because you got hurt." Damon said seriously. "Yeah, yeah." I said and slipped my arm out of his grip. I followed Jeremy outside and into the woods. We followed the voices to Fell's church. It was full of teenagers smoking pot and popping pills.

"Yo Jeremy! Who is this?!" A drunken/high man slurred with a perverted smile on his ask. "She's my cousin, so hands off, perv." Jeremy hissed. The man just laughed and stumbled away. A women with bright red hair offered me a blunt. "What the hell?" I shrugged while taking a hit and passing it to Jeremy. "Here try this. It's stronger." A man handed me another one. "Welcome to druggie paradise." Jeremy smiled while exhaling the smoke. I took a hit of the stronger stuff and handed it back. "Drink?" A women asked me. "What is it?" A asked, high, but not high enough to abandon all my common sense. "Whiskey." She replied. I grabbed the bottle and gulped down a large mouthful.

"Hey, I'm heading home. You coming?" Jeremy asked. "I'll catch up." I said. "Ok." Jeremy said and walked into the darkness. The radio switched off. "Not it!" We all yelled. "Ah, Vickie!" A women said. Vickie didn't say 'not it'. She got up and headed for the car. I heard her talking to someone and then..... silence. "Vickie?" A woman I recently learned was named Thalia called out. A whoosh sounded before 4 of the druggies hit the ground, their necks twisted a weird angle. "What the hell?!" Thalia screamed. "I thought I told you not to do anything reckless." A voice said. Damon. He appeared behind Thalia and sunk his teeth into her throat. I watched in horror as he drained her body of blood. I turned around as fast as my young legs would allow. Which was very fast considering I was the fastest girl in my old school. I kept running until I slammed into someone. It was Damon. "Get away from me!" I shouted. "I'm not gonna hurt you." Damon said stepping forward. "You killed them!" I yelled even louder. "Of course, it's my nature. I'm a vampire, after all." Damon said in a duh tone. "What?" I whispered. "A vampire." He smirked before his turned eyes black, veins protruded from under his eyes, and fangs sprouted from his teeth. He bared his fangs at me. "Are you going to kill me?" I asked. "Of course not, you mean too much to Elena." Damon replied before changing back. "Elena knows about this?" I asked. "Yes, my brother Stefan, her vampire boyfriend told her." Damon sat down on a large rock and motioned for me to sit down also.

"I'll tell you everything, but you can't tell anyone." He made me promise. He pulled out a necklace with a purple liquid in it. "It's vervain. It stops vampires from feeding and compelling." Damon explained. He placed it around my neck. "Now, how 'bout we start with Klaus?" Damon said. "Who?" I asked confused. "Your Mystery Man." Damon said. "What does he have to do with it?" I asked. "He is a 1,000 years old and he's the first vampire/werewolf hybrid." Damon said. Damon told me the story about the Originals and everything else.

"Can you please just take me home? I need to process." I said. "Follow me." He said. He led me out of the woods to a Chevy Impala. My trembling fingers grabbed the door handle and opened the door. He started the car and drove in silence. "Home, sweet, home." Damon sighed, pulling into my driveway. I got out of the car. I hurried into the house and tried to run up to my room before anyone who catch me. No such luck

"Vienna!" Elena called, her voice worried. "Leave me alone, Elena. I don't want to talk to you, to any of you!" I yelled and ran upstairs, slamming my door as I entered my room. "That wasn't very nice." A british voice said behind me. I turned around and attempted to run out of my room. He slammed his hand against the door, blocking me from getting downstairs. "Don't hurt me." I almost begged. "I won't. I would never hurt you. But you need to understand something. There are vampires in this town that will kill you. You need to be careful." Klaus said in my ear. "Why are you telling me this? According to Damon, human life means nothing to you." I said, turning around to face him.

"Well, she's a very special human. I won't let anyone hurt her." He murmured while caressing my cheek. He blurred away, leaving me confused and slightly scared. I climbed into my bed, strangely comforted by Klaus' words.

WOW! Klaus may have feelings? That's a first for me, anybody else?
