High School (Lauren/you)

Chapter 6

Previously Dinah's POV

A doctor came in and tried avoiding eye contact while frowning. "Y/n is in surgery right now. She won't be out for a while." He said lowly. "When will she be out and why is she in surgery?" Lauren asked. "We don't know how long it takes and um she's in surgery because of her heart. Her heart failed and she needed a transplant. But from what it looks like it's been happening for a while and she knew about it too. But there's a eighty percent chance this works. But there's a twenty percent chance it fails and I'm sorry but she would die if it fails." He said giving us a sad smile and walking out. We all froze not knowing what to do. But we looked at each other and I knew there was one thought going through all of our minds.

Y/n's heart failed and she's dying. She would die if this surgery didn't work. Please work!

Present Lauren's POV

A couple of hours have passed and we're still waiting for Y/n to get out of the surgery.  Ally has been crying into Normani's shoulder the whole time. Normani has been silently praying. Camila cried herself to sleep on Dinah's lap. Dinah's taking it the worse. She's emotionless and I'm here tears rolling down my cheeks my chest hurts. Not physically but emotional.

Right where my heart should be there's a hole. Because my heart is having surgery on her right now. She's my heart and I'm not complete without her. How did I fall so fast? I'm in love with her so much and I don't care what anyone thinks about that. Y/n and I did once upon a time get a long. I didn't always go to this school. Y/n, Dinah and I went to the same school before her parents died. Dinah and I moved a month and a half because our parents would make more money where we are living currently. Before her parents died. Two weeks later she shows up at my school.

Flashback

I walked in the house hearing and heard Y/n's parents talking about drunk driving and they made the two look each other in the eyes and say they basically were the reason each other were dead. After them talking, Y/n's parents had to go to work. They kissed each of the girls on the head and said their goodbyes and left. Ok their way out they saw me and smiled. "Hey Lauren." Y/n's mom said. "Hey momma y/l/n." I said. "I have to go but y/n's in there honey." She said pointing to the living room. "Okay thank you. Have a nice day at work." I said and walked into the living room.

"Hey Lauser." Dinah said smirking and looking between Y/n and I. Her phone binged and Dinah stood up. "I have to go help mom watch the kids. I'll see you guys in school tomorrow. Bye y/l/n bye Lauser. Have fun you two. Don't do the nasty." She said laughing and walking out of the house. Leaving us both blushing like crazy.

Y/n got up and walked over to me giving me a hug. Mumbling into my chest "I missed you Lo." "I missed you to babe." I said breaking the hug and looking at her smiling. She smiled back and then pecked my lips. I looked at her weirdly when she pulled back away from my lips. "What are you doing?" I asked faking anger. "What do you mean Lo?" She asked confused. "You kissed me for like one second. Is that how you're going to kiss your girlfriend you haven't seen in sixteen hours?" I said pouting. She rolled her eyes "You're such a big baby." She said while wrapping her arms around my neck and putting her lips on mine again.

After we both needed air we pulled away from each other and went to her room. She walked out of the room to go get some snacks while I picked what we were going to watch. After looking I finally found the perfect show. She walked back in with brownies, popcorn and some soda.
I walked over to her and grabbed the popcorn out of her hands and brought it over to the bed. She put the door on her in stand next to her bed and then got on the bed and cuddled up with me. As we both cuddled and watched the 100. "What would you do if I wasn't here? Like if I died." She asked.

"I wouldn't do anything babe." I said watching the tv. "Oh.." she said sadly. "Because my heart would've already died. So therefore, I would've died the moment you died. But I'd most likely kill myself because I couldn't live without you." I said looking at her and kissing her. "Promise me. That you won't die before me." I said. "I promise I won't die before you. But if I do. You got to promise me you'll take care of Dinah for me." She said seriously and sadly. "I promise I'll take care of Dinah for you. But I won't need to because you aren't going to die anytime soon babe." I said laughing and focusing my attention back on the tv. Until I heard her whisper---"

Y/n POV

"--- except I mostly will die soon. I'm dying cause my hearts broken." I whispered. Lauren looked at me. "I didn't hear any of that besides the point that your hearts broken. I promise you babe. I'll fix it. I don't know who broke it but I'll put it back together for you and keep it safe until the day we die." She said looking at me with love evident in her eyes. "Of corse you will. I love you so much Lauren and I'll love you till the day I die. No matter what happens to us. I hope if I do die. You're the last thing I see." I said. "Of course I'll be the last thing you see because I'll never leave your side baby. Now let's take a nap." Lauren said childishly. I laughed and put my head on her chest and listened to her heart beat as I fell to sleep.

Present
Lauren's POV

"Family of Y/n Y/l/n." The doctor called out all five of us girls stood up quickly and ran over to him. "That's us." I said quickly. "I'm sorry but I'm going to need her actual family girls." He said. Dinah looked at him "Ally and I are her sisters and Lauren here is her fiancé. And the other two are ally and I's girlfriends. So can I see my sister now." Dinah said angrily. "The Doctor looked frighten and said "actually I'll need to talk to you guys before you head in there. Something went wrong." He looked down sadly and just like that my heart stopped. My world stopped and everything went black----

Dinah's POV

--- I caught Lauren as she passed out. Never once in my life have I seen her so vulnerable. But then again. This is her first love that is in the hospital. Now we need to see what's wrong or what happened. I carried Lauren into the doctors office as the other girls followed. We all sat down and Lauren blinked a couple of times before looking at the doctor. "What happened? What went wrong?" She asked. "Her heart stopped twice during the surgery. We were able to rehabilitate her and she's currently in her room right now. But------"
