Chapter 1 - Anxiety

Hello everyone! Author chan here! Just wanted to say thank you for reading my story, this is actually the first story I've ever written, so I hope you like it! Sorry if the story gets depressing at times, I'll make lots of fluff as an apology! Enjoy!
In case you don't know, H/L- hair length H/C- hair colour, E/C- eye colour,F/C - favourite colour and so on =^-^=.

(Y/N) POV:

I woke up in my small treehouse in Faron woods, the sun beaming down on my face, telling me to get ready for the day. I pull myself out of bed and walk over to my small vanity, my (h/l), (h/c) was a mess and my (e/c) eyes were bloodshot due to lack of sleep. I haven't slept in days, I've been haunted by the same nightmare every night, two red eyes staring at me, and when I try to run away, I can't move.
I shake my head and try to get the nightmare out of my head, I don't need more anxiety today. My friend Link was coming by to take me to Castle town, and I was already having anxiety thinking about it. I walk to my closet and put on my (f/c) tunic and my knee-high leather boots. I walk over to the mirror and try to tame my crazy hair, when suddenly,

"HEY (Y/N)! YOU AWAKE!"

I nearly jump out of my skin, it was Link, he got here early.

"Yeah Link, just give me a minute!"

I rush out of the door, grabbing my sword on the way out, you can never be too careful.
" Hey Link" I smile at him, we have been friends for as long as I can remember, "you're here early", he gives me a grin, " well if I got here later, you would never want to get up", I give him a half smile. My depression has be holding me back from going out and exploring Hyrule, well that, and my terrible anxiety.
"Let's get going" Link says after he notices my change in mood, "sure" I said, "but, please try to stay out of crowded areas for me", crowds give me bad panic attacks, " don't worry (y/n), I'll protect you" he smiles and I just laugh, he is such a goofball.

-----Time Skip ------
"Link, I don't think I can do this" I said as we were entering Castle town, all the people and the loud noises were making me really nauseous and dizzy. Link grabs my hand "you'll be fine, just focus on me, okay?" I look at him and give him a half smile "okay".
We walked through Castle town until we passed by the castle and the princess caught Link's attention , "Hey Zelda" Link practically ran over to her, leaving me alone in a crowd of people, I tried to follow after Link but people began swarming around the princess. I backed away and sat on the fountain ledge that was in the middle of town, "thanks a lot Link" I say under my breath, I turn around and look at my reflection in the water, how could I ever compare to the princess? No wonder Link loves her, look at me, I'm a depressed, anxious mess.

Suddenly I saw a figure on the other side of the fountain, he looked like Link, but he wore darker colours, had black hair, and red eyes. He was staring at me with a grin on his face, " hey beautiful" he says, I was taken back, no one has ever talked to me so upfront like that, I blushed, " um.... Hey" I said shyly, man, I suck at talking to people. He got up and sat next to me, " what's your name gorgeous?", this had me at a loss for words, " it's (y/n)....." I looked down at my feet blushing, anxiety starting to rise, " that's a beautiful name, for such a beautiful girl" he replies with a wink, " what's your name?" I say, still avoiding his gaze, I could feel him starting at me with his red eyes. " I'm surprised you don't know darling, but I am just a shadow after all" he says as he takes my chin in his hand making me look at his hypnotizing eyes, I was too flustered to say anything, he gave a small laugh and grinned at me, " it's Dark Link, but you can call me Dark".
I was a blushing mess, sitting on the fountain ledge, with this mysterious shadow, I look away from Dark and towards where Link wandered off, hundreds of people were now gathered around us looking for the princess, I must have not noticed the crowd while Dark and I were talking. I start to get tunnel vision and feel like I might pass out, " hey, are you okay?" Dark asks me, putting a hand on my shoulder, I try to reply but no words come out, so I just shook my head no. "It's okay" Dark reassures, but I could barely hear him, my hearing was starting to plug up, The last thing I saw was Darks worried face before everything went black.

Dark Link POV:
What's up with her? She just passed out, oh no, I need to get her out of here. I pick her up and hold her in my arms, God she's beautiful, wait, what am I saying? I teleported us to my castle, I hope she's okay.
I walk the halls of the castle until I get to a room that seemed perfect for her, it had a large balcony that overlooked Faron woods, a wall full of books and a large bed with silk sheets. I laid her down on the bed, she seemed so relaxed and peaceful, even in her sleep she was absolutely beautiful, what is this feeling I'm having? Whatever it was I don't like it, I turned around, I can't just leave her like this, I quickly bent down and gave her a kiss on the forehead, and then walk out of the room, shutting the door quietly behind me. I took a deep breath, what is this girl doing to me?
