Chapter 5-

Bonnie's POV

"MOMMA!" I screamed... Bang bang I heard two gunshots and I raced to her side in time to see her chest rise and fall with her last breath. I fell to my knees and cried I couldn't breathe it felt like all the air had been taken away. My hands gripped her shirt so tight my knuckles were white until I felt two large hands pick me up until my feet were in the air "it's just you and me now princess" daddy said stroking my face too kindly to be genuine. "I WANT MOMMY" I sobbed.

I tossed and turned in Liv's lap or so I thought it was Liv's until I heard a sweet southern voice start to sing "My Bonnie lies over the ocean, my Bonnie lies over the sea, my Bonnie lies over the ocean so bring back my Bonnie to me... Bring back bring back ohh bring back my Bonnie to me to me..." I snuggled closer to Amanda and drifted back to sleep with ease as the sound of her voice danced through the air filling the room.

I soon woke up to the sweet smell of pizza that Olivia had brought us for lunch. "This pizza stuff is good, a lot better than what I'm used to" I trailed off realizing what type of questions I had opened myself up to. Brushing it off Amanda brought up a sensitive subject, my early life... "Well, when I was about 3 my mother was shot while I was in the house..." They had stopped eating now and I was staring at the floor... in another world, "My dad did it, he got so angry at her because she said 'no' to him...no one says no to daddy" I said feeling my cheeks flush red, my body uneasy.

Olivia's POV

Her words were cold, emotionless almost, she took a few deep breaths "T..then after I heard the gunshots I rushed out of my room in time to watch her take her last breath..." Her voice was distant and weak. "Sometimes I wish it was me instead" she broke down into sobs. I walked closer and watched her melt into my arms, then she continued "he..he soon moved us out to the cabin and that's when the games started.." her eyes darkened, "sometimes it was just him or sometimes i..it wwas g..g..game night" she stuttered over her words reliving every moment, she mindlessly played with my hands that were wrapped around her. "Sometimes there were so many men I'd pass out but daddy didn't like that so I'd get punished or sometimes I'd get punished if I stepped in the wrong direction or had nightmares that were too loud or if I didn't love him right" she took a deep breath and turned so she was facing me, her eyes filled with tears threatening to spill "I..it really hurt Olivia, I really didn't like it, he was so mean Olivia a..and it never stopped" right there she broke down, her body started to tremble and tears poured down her face, cries turned to sobs and even breaths turned to gasps. She threw her arms around my neck and Amanda and I stared at each other sharing the same thought 'this man has hell to pay and this little girl is promised all our love.'

Her small body continued to shake in my arms as I rubbed her back "shh shh everything is going to be alright" I cooed.

Amanda's POV

I decided to slip out and let Olivia take care of this one, I admired her way with kids. "Fin" i said disrupting his thoughts "we need to nail this guy he's a monster, he killed his wife in front of their daughter, that little girl in there" I stated mater of factly pointing to the room Bonnie and Liv were in. "Oh trust me" he said "we will."

*a few hours pass...Bonnie has given her statement*

Olivia's POV

It was getting late, Cragen saw the now sleeping little girl and let me off work early. I smiled as I carried Bonnie to the car. "Goodnight guys" I whispered as I left the squad room. "Night Liv" they answered in unison. Amanda then bent down to see Bonnie's face on my shoulder and gave her a kiss on her nose "goodnight baby girl" she whispered then waved as we left.

When we got downstairs I placed her into the passenger seat, she still rested her arms around my neck, and I buckled her in. She stirred a bit "I love you Livia" she said half asleep a smile tugging at the corners of her mouth, "I love you more sweetie" I said smiling and placing a kiss on her forehead.

*back at Olivia's apartment*

With Bonnie in my arms I unlocked the door and dropped my keys on the counter along with my badge and gun, flicking the lights on. I helped Bonnie change into her pajamas while she was half asleep and started to carry her down the hall to her room. "Olivia can I sleep in your bed tonight" her little voice whispered, "okay" I said pulling back the covers and tucking her in. I laid down next to her and felt her snuggle next to me "good night baby girl, sweet dreams" I laid a kiss in her hair. She nuzzled her head into my chest 'I could get used to this' I thought. I soon drifted off to sleep.
