Chapter 3: The Vampires

Vampires are real. Thats just well, the basics. All the talk of "there's no such thing as monsters" is not true, there are, we creep and rule the night. But also the world haha. The humans just didn't believe that monsters were real and have real power. The way vampirism works is that you have to be bitten, but in the Royal family you're born-and more powerful. Once you get bitten by a vampire the one who bit you can decide whether or not to just feed or insert the poison which if you survive turns you into a dead, blood thirsty monster. Thing is, they're not all that bad. The ones who give vamps their name of only murder and not being able to compromise is the king of vampires. He's an arrogant man who's been alive and in power for far too long. He's the main reason we werewolves and witches hate the vampires. Thing is, the witches and werewolves a long time ago had a peace treaty; that was completely destroyed after King Adrien came into power some odd 100 years ago after his beloved father was murdered. There is a massive conspiracy theory about the death of the old King Emrick, people have been saying that Adrien his son murdered his own father just to be king. Thing is, I believe it. He is a low life person who has terrible morals and should not be king based on the way he got there. At least with me, I worked to show that I am powerful and strong enough to be their leader and am worshipped by my people.
The people miss Emrick. He was respected by many, and loved by all. Even if you did not agree with what he had done a single day, over all you will still love him as the best ruler for the vampires. He was a very kind man who did nothing but good to his people. Although naturally the species were supposed to hate each other, during Emrick's reign there were no wars, whenever we had the meetings for the laws the three of us would stay a while longer just to chat amongst one another. King Emrick hated conflict so he chose the non-aggressive way every single time. Unlike his son, any chance Adrian gets, he'll start a fight between us all. Which is why we have this Order. But all is different now that there's Adrian. I can't see into the future but I can for sure smell trouble is coming in all the directions headed straight for this once peaceful land.
