Chapter 3: New home

I'll come back for you," was the last thing she said to her as she stepped out the car. Watching the car pull off all she wanted to do was cry. While walking up to the small white home all she could think was, how worse could this get?

Knocking at the door Nelly is greeted with an energetic Diamond, "Hey girl!" She grabs her up in her arms giving her a huge hug.

She smiles trying to keep all of what just happened in her head.

"Hey Diamond." She says. All she wanted to do was go to bed after all the stuff she's been through.

Diamond was a little taller than Nelly with brown silky skin and curly brown hair.

"My mom is sleep. Here, I'll take your bags into the extra bedroom. Follow me. "

After getting settled into the bedroom Diamond gives her a towel and washcloth.

"If you need anything I'm right across the hall girl. "

"Thanks for everything."

After she leaves the room Nelly looks around the room. There was a beautiful queen sized bed whose comforter set matched the curtains and carpet.

"Well, at least I have my own bathroom." She says as she gets undressed.

While in the shower she lets the water run on her hair as she puts her fingers through it. She thinks of the times she had with her father before he died.

~Flashback~

"Daddy! Can I have that ballon please, please, please, please!"

"Okay sweetheart but only one. " he says with a bright smile and buys the ballon.

They walk hand and in the park.

"Daddy can we please get on the slide?"

"Okay, but this is our last time. Daddy's not feeling well. Okay?" He says gripping his chest.

"Daddy! Come!" She says running to the slide.

"I have to sit down baby girl. I'm not feeling good."

~End of flashback~

"Ugh! I should've realized he was sick! I was so dumb!" She yells hitting the shower tiles.

As she gets out she can hear a knock at the door,

"Nelly are you okay?" Diamond asks.

"Yes. "

"Okay. "

After drying off and combing her hair she puts on a big tee shirt which belonged to her dad and some yoga pants. It was very late and it just so happened to be a school night.

Laying down in bed she thinks about her mom and what she's doing right now. Deep in thought she soon drifts off.

"Beep, Beep, Beep!"

The alarm sounds off as she pops her head from up under the warm comforter,

"6:00 already, what the fuck."

Slowly getting out of bed she rubs her eyes as the sun creeps through the silk curtains.

Walking into the bathroom she begins brushing her teeth and doing her regular morning routine.

She opens one of her black duffle bags, "Hmm what should I wear?" She says to herself as she pulls out some clothes.

Because it was warm day she decides to slip on a black halter top, blue jeans, and black flats. After putting on clothes she combs her curly blonde hair leaving out with a beautiful natural look.

"Looking good." She says looking at her reflection in the mirror and grabbing her backpack.

Once she gets downstairs she smells an aroma of bacon and eggs and walks into the kitchen where she finds Diamonds mom cooking breakfast. "Good morning Nelly Nell. Have a seat. "

They chat for a bit and then they here footstep coming down the steps.

Diamond walks in,"Goodmorning. " she takes a seat.

She had her hair up in a high bun and had on a pair of black ripped jeans with a shear button up shear shirt and flats to match.

"Here you go ladies. Eat up so you guys can catch that bus. Diamond is always late. "

"Ma. " Diamond says in a embarrassing tone.

After finishing their breakfast they thank Patricia (Diamonds mom) and leave out the house.

"Yo, Sebastian was getting on my nerve last night. He wanted to sneak over but I couldn't let him because my mom kept getting out of bed to take a shit! That Taco Bell gives her the runs. "

"Eww," Nelly laughs out loud.

While on the bus Nelly couldn't help but notice eyes on her. Looking over she notice a boy. He was fine. He has coco brown skin and was buff and tall.

"Girl, who is that fine ass boy over there?"

Smacking her gum,"Oh, that's Zane. You have to watch out for him he's a heartbreak. So they say."

Just by walking into her first block class she could tell that her day would be boring. For one thing she had Mr. Hall who was one of the most annoying teachers of all time. She hated him but didn't care because she was passing his class was an A.

For it to be a boring day it had went by pretty quickly and before she knew it, she was in her last class of the day. Sometimes while in class she would dose off but just as she was about to she looked up and saw the same boy from the bus,

"Hey beautiful, here's an invitation. I want you to come. You seen cool. "

"Wow, thanks. "

He hands her the invitation and the bell then rings.

Walking out into the hallway she can hear Diamond's voice just down the hall.

"Nelly! You got the invitation too!"

"Yeah girl!" They both say excited.

"Let's get it! Yassss!" Diamond yells in more excitement.

"Come on girl let's go before we miss the bus," she says as she bursts into laughs.

Getting home they begin picking out what they're going to wear for tonight and help each other with their hair.

Diamond decides to wear a sleek black dress which hugs her curves and black stilettos. While Nelly puts on a pair of new leather pants, ankle boats, and a black silk tank top. She straightens her hair while Diamond wears her curly.

Soon the time has come for them to leave. Diamond's mom allows them to take her BMW out.

They both hop in the car excited for tonight but the night is still young and the unexpected is yet to come.
