Of course, he wasn't an actual baby per se, but he was the baby.
In everything.
He is the baby of his family and his group of friends.
It also doesn't make it any better considering the fact that Kevin, the oldest of his friends, is also his older brother. Mitch was adopted in the Olusola family when he was a five years old. His parents died and he was taken in by an aunt who wasn't all too kind. She took her frustrations out on him and it eventually went to the point were she chocked him so hard that his vocal cords were permanently damaged.
In simpler words, he was mute.
He didn't mind though, but he did get babied a lot, especially by his friend Kirstie. Kirstie is only a few months older than him yet she treats him like a newborn child. She coos at him every time he and Kevin walk in the high school together, making the freshman embarrassed.
She's better than Avi though.
Avi literally goes berserk if anyone looks at Mitch the wrong way. He treats Mitch like a prince (more like a queen) and even though Mitch likes that, Avi goes a bit hardcore with that. He will wait by all of Mitch's classes and escort him to his next class so no one could hurt him. A lot of people bullied Mitch for being mute and Avi did not like that at all.
That doesn't compare to Kevin though.
Being the older brother has involved the utmost protection Mitch has ever received. Kevin watches over him like a hawk and makes sure no one hurts Mitch. The brotherly duo shared dark secrets and fears that try have promised not to tell anyone unless it was hurting them mentally, emotionally, and/or physically. The two brothers, although not related, treated each other like blood related siblings and protected each other like crazy; however, Kevin was the most protective one.
No one, not even in a million years, could beat Scott though.
Saying that Scott is protective is an understatement. He and Avi walk Mitch to every class and Scott will glare at all his bullies, even growling at some that mocked Mitch's disability. Everyone, even the teachers, shipped these two together and made sure to stay away from them when they had their moments. Scott found a garden on the very top of the school (a/n: HSM teas) and took Mitch up there whenever he wanted to have his young boyfriend to himself. Their relationship is precious and Scott would do anything for him.
Although Mitch love his friends, there is one thing that bothered him.
He hated being treated like a baby.
