...um...hi.

I deeply apologize for the lack of updates for this.

Life is hard at the moment, especially since I started my second year of college.

And if you don't know, my career as a writer will end as soon as I am done with this story, Scomichelle, and another story that I am still planning.;)

Anyway, here you go.

This story will be updated regularly...hopefully.

Don't forget to vote and comment.

If I get 50+ comments, I will write a sneak peek of the next chapter.^-^

HERE WE GO!

Mitch woke up, his body aching from the uncomfortable position he slept in. He stretched a bit, his bones cracking with his every move. He stood up, yawning as he made his way downstairs. He was about to sign good morning to his family when he saw the cop at the front door. Curline looked worried while Oluwole looked angry. Mitch walked over, his eyebrow raised as Curline looked at him. Tears were in her eyes, her hands going on Mitch's shoulders. Mitch was about to ask what was going on when Curline spoke up.

"Mitch, do you know where Scott and Kirstie are?" Curline asked, her petite body shaking. Mitch shook his head, tearing up himself when Curline sobbed quietly. "Mitch, Scott and Kirstie ran away. Nobody knows where they went."

Mitch dropped his jaw, looking over at the officer. He wanted answers, clear and concise answers, right now. As if the officer read Mitch's mind, he began to speak, his gruff voice striking fear in Mitch. He sounds serious.

Mitch hates serious.

"Were you the last person to speak to Scott and or Kirstie?" The officer asked, sighing when Mitch nodded his head. "Kid, you need to come with me. I need to ask you questions at the station. You're not in trouble. We just have to know if you did something to make them run away of if you know why they ran away."

"He's fifteen! He doesn't need to do this!" Oluwole yelled, making Curline cry some more. The officer barely budged, nodding slightly as Oluwole began to rant. "Scott and Kirstie ran away on their accord and my son should not be dragged into the middle! It's not his fault that they ran away! It's their fault! They're cheaters and nothing more!"

"Sir, it's a regulation for us to bring in people who saw or talked to the people who saw them la-"

"Then ask my oldest son! He is the one you should talk to! Mitch is too young for this!"

Kevin walked downstairs, an eyebrow raised as he watched his dad argue with an officer. His mom was crying and Mitch just stood there, tears starting to gather in his eyes as Kevin walked over. Kevin tapped Mitch's shoulder, frowning slightly at the tears in his eyes.

"What happened?" Kevin asked softly, confused at what was going on. Mitch let his shoulders fall, his hands shaking as he signed.

'Scott and Kirstie ran away last night and I'm interrogated because of it.'

Kevin shook his head, walking into the middle of the officer and his father. Curline was about to take Kevin away from the middle of the fight, but Kevin stayed put as he glared at the officer, shaking his head.

"Sorry, but nobody is going down to the station. Scott and Kirstie probably ran because they couldn't keep it in their pants and they don't want to face the consequences. They don't deserve to be found. Please leave our property and may God bless you."

The officer reluctantly nodded, tipping his hat as his way to say goodbye and walked off as Kevin closed the door behind him. Curline sighed, shaking her head as she looked up at Kevin.
