The name is Avery.. I am 18 and I just graduated high school one week ago today. My best friend, Tiffany and I are having our graduate parties tonight and what's better than celebrating it with your best friend?
Tiffany and I have always wanted to go to the same college and that college just might be the University of Florida. I can't wait until we start our new lives. Most of it is because I have an obnoxious little brother. I mean he's not that little, but still.
I looked at myself in my vanity's mirror. I needed makeup for tonight. Tiffany and I invited our boyfriends and we don't want to disappoint them, now do we?
I turned my head towards my digital clock and checked the time. Good I still have six hours to get ready. That's enough time, right?
I grabbed my blue sparkly dress, a strapless bra, underwear, my makeup, a towel, and headed for the bathroom.
I got in the steaming shower and washed my hair in coconut shampoo and conditioner. I quickly washed my body and put facial scrub on my face and then got out of the shower.
I let the facial scrub stay on my face while I slipped into my dress and dried my hair. I washed the scrub off so I could start on my makeup. I put on a light blue eye shadow and a bit of blush. I also added on eyeliner, mascara, and lipstick. I put lipgloss over my lipstick to make it look glossy.
Now the hair. Should I crimp it? Should I straighten it? Should I curl it? What am I feeling today? I think I'll crimp it. I opened the cabinet under the sink and grabbed my crimper. I plugged it in and waited a few minutes and then I started crimping which took me about four hours. I glanced at the clock as I started to pack everything up. I only had one hour left, I know Tiffany would be there to get everything ready.
I threw my dirty clothes in the hamper and put my makeup away. I then slipped on my stilettos. I walked downstairs and my mother smiled at me.
"Just in time." She says.
"DAD! LOGAN! HURRY UP!" I yell.
Logan came down and he actually looked nice for once. I mean yes everyone will tonight, but Logan never looks as nice as he does now. Dad came down after him and he also looked good.
I was the first to walk out of the house so I grabbed the car keys and got in the drivers seat. I buckled up and started the car.
Logan and Dad sat in the back. Mom sat in the passenger seat.
"Mom she's going to kill us." Logan complains as I back out of the driveway.
"Logan no she won't,now be quiet." Mom says.
I drive down the road and then make a right and then a left. The drive was a short drive. I parked and quickly walked to the building.
I opened the doors and Tiffany was in her purple sparkly dress and she also had her stilettos on. She was telling her older brother where to place stuff and honestly the place looked amazing.
"Ahh! Avery!" She squeals.
"Tiffany, the place looks great." I say,"Need any help my brother will do anything."
Then Logan and my parents walked in.
"Logan, could you help my brother, thanks." Tiffany says to him.
Logan nodded his head as he passed us.
Tiffany walked to a table and pulled two chairs out and she sat down so I sat down next to her.
"I still can't believe it." She says.
"Yeah I know," I say, "I'm so glad we each got a scholarship though."
"Yeah." she says, "About that....Its not to Florida, it's to Kings College in Pennsylvania."
My mouth dropped, "I'll put that aside tonight."
She smiled, "Anyways Kane and Rider are going to be here any minute."
Kane is my boyfriend and Rider is her boyfriend. It's been a week since we've all been together and I couldn't wait to see both of them again.
Tiffany screams and I turn my head to see what she's screaming about and I see that Kane and Rider walk in.
I get up and run into Kane's arms.
"I missed you so much." He whispers into my ear.
"You have no idea." I say.
He pulls out of the hug and leads us to the table Tiffany and I were just sitting at. He let me sit first and then him.
"I have so much to say." He says, "But I just don't have the time to say it."
He hands me a slip of paper and I look at it. It says my name on top written in neat letters Avery.
I'll wait until the party is over to open it and read it. I put it on my table of graduation gifts. I walked back towards Kane and noticed a bunch more people came.
Kane smiles at me. I smile back. I love him. I just wonder what's in the note. Does he want to break up? Is ever going to see me again? Are we going to have to Skype all the type?
