Chapter Two

The party was coming to an end and Kane said his goodbyes and he gave me a kiss like it was his last time ever seeing me again. I really hope it wasn't. I love him so much and I'm afraid to lose him. I told my mother she could drive and I'd just sit in the back alone because Logan was helping clean up and he would get a ride from Ross (Tiffany's older brother).
I used my phones flashlight and opened the note Kane gave me.

Avery,
You're my one and only soulmate and I don't know what I'd do without your perfect face in my life. But it's going to be hard when college comes around, I hope you understand. I'll be busy with work and school and I would have no time at all to date, but I'm going to try to fit time in for you. Please don't feel left out, I love you and I will only love you. You also know what I'm studying for requires lots of hard work and thinking. I have to take double the classes as you. I still don't know what college I will pick but i'll pick one with my heart. I know you feel like garbage right now because Tiffany isn't going to the same school as you and I probably won't either, even though I want to badly! If being at your graduation party was the last time i'll see you in person, well just try getting in touch with me... Please don't be mad. I really hope you understand everything I'm going through. I've got scholarships for so many different schools and I don't know which one to pick. I'm doing a poll between my family on which university I should pick. Hopefully Its the one your going to, but if not we might just want to start all over again instead of trying to make it work. Let me start...
Hi I'm Kane c:

I quickly pulled out my phone and dialled Kane's number.
"Hey babe." He says.
"What university are you going to so far?" I ask
"Uhh, Florida." He says.
I smile, "Good because I don't want to start all over, I love you Kane."
"I love you too, Avery. We'll talk tomorrow, go get some rest." He says.
"Okay." I say trying to keep the tears back.
He hung up and I held my phone tightly near my heart. If any other school gets picked this phone will be the only thing for me to communicate with him. And most of the time he won't be able to answer.
This breaks my heart, hopefully he goes to my school.
Mom parks the car and I get out and grab the four huge bags of graduation presents and cards. I dragged the load up to my room and dropped them down carefully. I'll open them tomorrow.
I change out of my clothing and get in my summer pjs. I put my hair in a messy bun and then I jump onto my bed. I then fell into a deep sleep.

I woke up to my phone vibrating in my hand every few seconds. I groan and wonder who could want me at this hour of the day. I looked at my lock screen.. It was filled with 10 messages... Kane really wanted to talk. so I replied with a 'hey'
He then called me and I picked up
"Did you read it?" He asks.
"Um, yea." I say.
"Listen...Don't worry Florida is in the lead by a bunch...." He says, "I just have to decide between Florida and Texas."
"Okay." I say, "I'm not that much worried on which college your going to its the fact we have to start over."
He sighs and then hangs up.
I just know he's not going to my school so what's the point on hoping he will, he won't. He'll choose Texas...
I could find someone else but that would be too hard, I can't find one boy like Kane.
"Avery!" My mother calls.
"Coming." I mumble.
I race downstairs and stop when I see my mom holding an envelope.
"This came fore you." She says.
"Okay, thanks." I say.
I head back upstairs and sat on my bed... It was from Kane I could tell.
I immediately opened it up.


Avery,
I'm giving you this note because there are a few things I really need to get off my chest.
When we first met I absolutely had no idea how important you would be to me. We've been through everything together, well almost everything.
Of course I like you. You're fun to be around. You're smart. You're funny. You're (really) cute. You're different. You're crazy. You're perfect, in an imperfect way. You always speak your mind. You have the best laugh. Of course I like you. You're you.
I really need you and I hope you understand just how much.
Lets make everyday a day to remember the LOVE we share.

I got out a pen and paper and started to think what I should put in my note to Kane.... Three hours later my letter was finished and it was perfect.

Kane,
You are the boy who gives me cute hugs. You are the fella who pulls me with his tugs. I am your girl, you are my guy. You are the only one who makes me wanna fly. I love you...
