3rd Person's POV:

Moonwatcher had never been more nervous in her life, not even when her mother had brought her into the nightwing village in the rainforest. Then again Moonwatcher had never really liked other nightwings, the stories Her mother told her were the reason behind this and after moving into the nightwing village and seeing what nightwings were truly like only solidified her beliefs. And even though Moon didn't want to leave her mother and go to school, Thats not the reason she was nervous. Moon was nervous because she has the long lost powers of the nightwing tribe, the power to read minds and see the future. But those secrets are small compared to the fact that Moonwatcher is an animus dragon, Moon thought all of this in the fraction of a second.

"This a good opportunity for you honey". Moon's mother told her as Moon was playing with the necklace around her neck while she listened to her mother talk about how this was good for her. "But mom what if someone finds about my secret?" Moon asked while looking up at her mom. "Relax honey, besides i doubt anyone will find out about them besides if they do then you can always come home, but please try to keep an open mind about this." Moon's mother replied while stroking Moon's back. "Alright mom i'll try, besides i think i'll enjoy that animus class that Darkstalker teaches." Moon replied. "Good at least you have something to look forward to here, anyway i gotta get going, write to me about how schools going!" Moon's mother said while getting ready to take off. "Ok bye mom!" moon replied but then Moon's mother was already a speck in the distance. "Well time to go inside" Thought Moon as she was walking into the cave.

Moon looked around the cave and saw 3 tunnels branching off of the main cavern in separate directions. Moon was about to see if there were anyone that looked friendly enough to talk to when a little black nightwing dragonet dropped down in front of Moon "Hi! I'm Fatespeaker! your Moonwatcher right? Well heres your welcoming scroll, your map of jade mountain academy an your sleeping cave is the farthest down on the right, your gonna love your clawmate! Oooooh icewings! Wanna stay and meet them?" The little dragonet named Fatespeaker said excitedly. "Um no thanks i'm just gonna go" Moon Replied while hurrying out of the cave. Moon finally found her sleeping cave and saw an stone shelf in the wall across the cave, Moon could tell that it was enchanted to always stay cold. From this Moon could tell she'd be sharing a cave with an icewing. "well at least i'm not sharing a cave with a nightwing, might as well get comfortable and wait for them to walk in and yell at me." Moon thought. A Few minutes later while Moon is reading a scroll that was in the scroll rack near her bed which was a pile of moss and leafs that was about animus dragons and animus touched items when they heard a dragon enter the cave, Moon looked up and saw...

Winter landed in the entrance of the school and saw a nightwing dragonet that looked uncannily like Moon going into one of the tunnels then another nightwing dragonet ambushed me when i tried to follow them and starting babbling about how i'll supposedly "love" tons of things about this school and was shoving scrolls into my talons and said that my sleeping cave was the farthest down on the right and how i'll love my clawmate or whatever its called, all I cared about was that dragonet that looked like Moon, after that nightwing dragonet bounded off to greet more students I decided to go look for that dragonet that vanished into the sleeping cave tunnel. After checking every cave for that dragonet I couldn't find them so I went to my sleeping cave not noticing the nightwing dragonet inside the cave until I heard "Winter?!"

Oh Snap!looks like Moon and Winter will be clawmates! (did anyone guess that they would after I said that Moon Could sense that the rock ledge was enchanted to be Always cold? anyone? I did mark this book as #winterwatcher correct?) Now to answer some questions I forgot to put more detail into and explain until i was writing this authors note :P

#1 Yes Moon and Winter know each other from before jade mountain. (I'll do a chapter on that another day)

#2 Moon's necklace is made from pure 24 carat gold with a a black diamond about 3 inch by 3 inch wide in the dead-center of it, This necklace was enchanted by Moon to always return to her neck and all side effects of using her animus powers put into the necklace's diamond (the side effects stored in the necklace dissipate when Moon is wearing the necklace)

#3 Winter knows Moon can read minds, sees the future and has animus powers 

#4 Yes Darkstalker is NOT encased in stone, yes he is still immortal, but he never tried to become king of the nightwings and when Jade Mountain Academy was looking for teachers he volunteered to teach any animus dragnets that were enrolled at Jade Mountain Academy  

#5 Moon can sense if something is animus touched because in this AU she was born under 2 Full Moons on the 7th hour of the 7th night of the 7th month of the year and when a dragonet is born under those conditions they are guaranteed to become a VERY powerful animus (AKA Mega Animus, like she could kick Darkstalker's ass if she REALLY had to).

#6 Moon's Necklace was a Gift from her mother SecretKeeper.

#7 Darkstalker was the Nightwing tribe's FIRST animus Dragon. Just gonna let you think about that.

Anyways this is my first fanfiction ever so i'd appreciate any advice and some constructive criticism! (And before you start asking how Moon could just assume she was sharing a cave with a icewing, well shes smart for one and two what other dragon tribe would actively WANT to sleep on a stone ledge/shelf that was ALWAYS COLD? actually what SANE dragon would want that?)
