We head to Batangas at exactly 2:36. School is only half day.
We arrive at Batangas at 5:01. The sun's coming down early, Finding that hidden town is like finding an ant in a labyrinth. It's not in the map! We had to ask other people to know where it is. "Um.. excuse me po, kuya. Nasaan po ba ung Barangay Dalire?" I asked to someone out in the streets.
"Ay nako! Huwag na kayo pumunta doon. Mapapahamak lang kayo."
"Bakit naman po?" I was confused by what he said. Why would he say that?
"Basta. Makinig nalang kayo sa akin."
We were confused. But, we just ignored him.
After the conversation with the stranger, Jay became so quiet. What happened to him? Sleepy, maybe? Or, perhaps, hungry? I don't know.
Anyway, after asking dozens of dozens of persons that had the same line, "Huwag na kayo pumunta doon." , we eventually arrived at Barangay Dalire. The town really was small. Wow. I looked through the window of the vehicle to see a better view of the town.
I thought my eyes were fooling me, but I was shocked of what I saw. I saw only, maybe, 9? 10? 12? people that are out in the street. Huh. It's like a ghost town.
"Hey, Mike. Look at that." said Klaire, while pointing at a house that looks to be abandoned. "Whoa. Is it just me, or this place seems really creepy?"
"Hey guys, eto na yata ung Barangay Hall." said Reece while parking the car.
"Halika, baba tayo guys. Ask naten kung nasaan yung 'resort' na sinasabi ni Jay." said Trixie. "Tara."
We were close to the lobby of the barangay hall when I suddenly remembered Jay. Why was he quiet again? Hmm...
Anyway, we saw a girl that was sitting on the bench.
"Uh... excuse me po." said Reece, while talking to the girl at the lobby. The girl ignored us for a while. It seemed like she was busy staring at something.
"Umm... hello?" Reece tried to talk to her for the second time.
"Ahh hello. Sorry po. Hindi po kasi kami sanay na may bisita." The girl suddenly talked. She looked nice. She had a hair pin on her head that seemed to be almost broken. She had a pale skin. But, her lips were pure red. A little dark. Looked like the color of blood.
"Ah ok. Ahh... sabi kasi ng friend namin dito na may resort daw na malapit here." said Reece, while pointing at Jay.
"Huh? Wala naman pong beach dito eh."
"Ano? Sabi meron daw." Reece was shocked. We were all shocked. "Ah.. wait lang, miss." said Reece, while pulling Jay towards the exit of the barangay hall.
"What's with you, Jay? Sabi mo may resort. Tas ngayon.. wala. Ano ba talaga?" said Reece. Jay was speechless.But eventually, he replied.
"Huh? Ang alam ko..."
"Hay. Tapos tignan mo. Maggagabi na oh! Punta na lang tayo sa ibang place." said Reece.
Jay seemed confused with all of that.
"Miss. We'll leave na, okay? Thanks for the help." said Reece, while leaving the barangay hall and into the car.
"Ay nako! Anong oras na ba? Hindi na kayo pwede umalis. Mapapahamak lang kayo. Makinig na kayo sa akin at humanap muna kayo ng matutuluyan ngayong gabi. Dapat kanina pa kasi kayo umalis kung gusto niyong umalis talaga." said the girl. The girl somehow changed her attitude.
"Huh.. but, we have to go. Wala kaming matutuluyan. Plus, this place seems creepy." said Trixie in reply.
"Bahala kayo. Good luck." said the girl. We looked at each other. Scared and confused. When we looked at the girl again, she already disappeared. Where did she go?
"Ha-halika na nga guys." said Jay.
We went into the van. We were so scared because the sun is already coming down. And, the place looked creepy.
"Guys, let's go."
