We sat down across from eachother on the love seat. I didn't care how intimidating he was, I always put my feet on the furniture. I almost chuckled when he did the same so that our toes were touching.

"So, there's some things I'd like to learn about you, Cali," he said.

I smiled. I had already begun planning my escape, so I was gonna play by the rules and bide my time.

"Where are you from?" He began.

"Atlanta. Mom was a paralegal, dad was a science professor. No siblings," I replied.

"Thorough with your answer. You get nervous when people ask you questions? You think giving enough information, or maybe too much, will deter me from asking anymore?" I felt myself blush. He was right. I hated questions.

"What was home like?" He asked.

"Generally good. Typical family melodrama on occasion."

"Why'd you move away?"

"I always dreamed of coming to the city. I was so bored back home," I said.

"Fair enough. I don't think you're a liar," he replied. He looked up, and I followed his eyes to see a clock on the wall. It was almost two a.m.

"Well, are you ready for bed?" He asked. Oh, trust me, I can't wait.

"Yeah, I'm pretty tired," I lied. We stood up and I began to follow him, briefly touching my thigh to feel the key fobs resting in my pocket.

He opened the door to the biggest bedroom and it really was gorgeous.

"That door over there is a closet for you, and that's your bathroom next to it," he pointed to two doors. I opened the closet door. It was full of what I was already wearing, then a few different style of outfits, all black and red. In the drawers were underwear, oddly enough, in my size.

"Sir?" I asked. He turned around.

"No, you call me Abel. I'm sir to everyone but you. I don't think you realize the power you have here," he said. My heart fluttered.

"Sorry, Abel, how do you already have all these clothed in my size?" I asked. It really didn't make any sense to me.

"Cali, you've been here for about fourteen hours. That's plenty of time for us to get you equipped," he replied.

For pajamas, I decided on a black tank top and red hotpants. My selection was pretty limited. I awkwardly crawled into bed and he motioned for me to come toward him. I blushed and felt myself get shaky. I had never slept with a man. I shook my head.

"No?" He asked.

"I'm very claustrophobic. I really need my space when I sleep," I lied.

"I can respect that," he said. He turned off the light and within minutes, he was snoring. I quietly crept out of bed and to the closet. I pulled on black jeans, the only black boots I could find, and a black leather jacket. The jacket only came halfway down my waist. In my opinion, that's pretty impractical.

I snuck out of the villa and into the elevator. I prayed no one would get on it as it descended to the garage. After trying my fobs on everything, I eventually found my cars. I hopped in the Dart with no intentions of returning.

It was fast. I loved it. I was taking back roads as much as possible to not be seen by any other neos, in case any were out this late. I realized too late that someone was following me. A white car, with blue stripes was gaining on me pretty quickly. I panicked. I drove as fast as I could, but they were right behind me. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw another car just like mine. Someone had found me, and my cover was blown.

That was the last thought I had before the bullets started flying. They were hitting my back window, but luckily for me, the windows were bulletproof. I drove as fast as I could, but the white car was faster. It hit me, spinning me in a circle before I slammed into the bridge. I hit my head on the window pretty hard, and I was in a daze. My door was ripped open, and a large black man grabbed me by the neck. I struggled and choked until I heard one more shot, and he let me go. I fell down and he fell forward next to me. Behind him, holding a shotgun, was Abel.
