“What are you two doing in here?” I inclined my view to see Hayden standing in the doorway of the kitchen, in which Landon and I were, on the floor.

“Your sister here,” Landon gestured to me, “really got me back with the faucet hose. I think you taught her well, Hayden.” Hayden teaching me. That would be a sight to see.

“Actually Hayden didn't teach me anything. I learned it all by myself.” I pulled myself from the floor and brushed off.

“Yeah. From watching me. Therefore learning it from me.” I helped Landon to his feet. If it weren’t for him gripping my hand as tightly as he had, I probably would have dropped him due to his body mass compared to mine.

Aurora broke into the conversation while trotting into the room saying, “What's going on here?”

“Nothing,” Landon abruptly said. “We were just playing on the floor.” Landon’s face wore a smirk. Yep, his mind was definitely in the gutter.

“Whatever. So what should we do now?” Aurora lingered her gaze on me, waiting from one of my bright ideas.

“Um, are any of y'all tired yet?” I looked around at everyone's expression. No one seemed to look the least bit sleepy. They seemed to all be alert and awake.

“No,” everyone exclaimed in unison except Landon.

“Landon? Are you with us? “ Hayden directed to his best friend.

“What? Oh, um, yeah. What did you say?” He turned his attention from Hayden and looked intently at me.

“Um... Are you tired?”

“No, not yet.” He looked into the living room as if something more interesting was happening in there. Something was going on upstairs for him.

“Okay. Well, what do y'all want to do?” I directed the question to everyone.

“Why don't we all play a game of truth or dare.” Aurora suggested in a up-wire voice. I glanced at her and noticed that she had a wild smile plastered to her lips. She was thinking of something devilish and I was afraid that I was about to find out what it was.

“Do you guys agree?” I looked back and forth between my brother and Landon.

“Sure,” Hayden agreed.

“Yeah.”Landon shot a smile at me and I couldn't help but return it.

“Okay. Well, let's go into the living room. We can sit in a circle and play it there.” We all filed into the den and gathered around in a circle on the ground. When we were all settled and ready I asked, “So, who wants to go first?” I waited for someone to volunteer. But no one did. “Fine, I'll start.” I turned my attention to my brother. “So Hayden, Truth or Dare?”

 Hayden contemplated his answer for a moment and then replied, “Dare.”

“Okay, then. I dare you to...” What could I dare him to do and get some extra revenge on him for the way he woke me up a couple days ago and for the remote incident? Not something he would enjoy doing. I went with the first disturbing thing that popped into my head. “I dare you to lick Landon's ear.”

“What? Are you crazy? He probably doesn't even wash his ears,” he retorted.

“Well clean them for him.” When Hayden didn't budge I said, “You have to. It's a dare. You're such a girl.”

“No I'm not. Watch me be a guy.” Hayden was one who just had to stand up for his masculinity. So he leaned over in Landon's direction and put his tongue to his ear, taking Landon off guard. The expression on his face was one of disgust. I couldn't help but crack up. Revenge is sweet.

Once he pulled back, Landon wiped his ear and exclaimed, “I can't believe you actually did that.” He continued to wipe away at his ear.

“Okay, my turn. Who should I pick? How about you Aurora? Truth or dare?” Hayden had a devilish grin on his lips.

“Truth,” Aurora automatically answered. She seemed pretty confident in her answer.

“Okay. Good. Um....let me think....oh I have a good one. Out of everyone in this room who would you rather make out with?”

“Oh that's a tough one,” Aurora replied sarcastically. “If I had a choice, it would be none of y'all. But if I had to pick it would of course be you, Hayden,” she said in a mocking tone.

“Whatever. Now it's your turn.” Hayden's ego had just been shattered.

“Oh-goodie-goodie.” Aurora started bouncing up and down in excitement. Oh here we go. There was only two people left that she could do Truth or Dare to. Landon and me. I prepared myself for what she had been planning earlier in the kitchen. “Arabella.” Why me? I sucked it up and got ready for whatever she was about to throw at me. Whatever it was, I would do it. Arabella Limerson was no chicken. “I dare you to...” She looked around the room. “...kiss Landon.” Arabella Limerson was a chicken. No way in hell was I going to kiss him. You know you want to. I mentally slapped myself for even thinking that and grew a backbone. “Okay.”

Everyone's eyes grew wide. Everyone being Hayden and Aurora. I couldn't bring myself to see Landon's expression. “I don't think so,” Hayden said from nowhere.

“Come on Hayden. It's only a game. Nothing is going to be taken seriously,” Aurora reassured him.

“Dude, you seriously aren't going to go through with this and kiss my sister are you?” I finally brought myself to look at Landon. His expression was one like no other. He was actually blushing. There was a light shad of pink on his cheekbones. He was going to say no. He would never want to kiss me. “It's a dare. I have to do it. She has to kiss me.” Landon turned to me with a smile playing at the corner of his lips. I couldn't believe what he had just said. He was going to allow me to kiss him. He probably didn't want me to, but he was going through with it. Oh God.

“Well then I'm leaving the room. Tell me when it is over.” Hayden actually got mad because of this. He wasn’t always over-protective, but when he was he took it to the next level.

“Okay. Well let's do this. Arabella kiss Landon,” Aurora urged me to do the dare while Hayden left the living room.

“Okay.” I crawled over to where Landon was and sat about a foot from him. “You sure you want to do this?” I asked him. He nodded and his eyes filled with eagerness. This was just a dare. Not the real thing, I told myself over and over as I inched my mouth closer to his. He shut his eye and I did too and the moment our lips touch, all I could think about was the kiss..
