Transformation

Chapter 3

     My senses have heightened, I noticed. I can smell everything from the scent of the trees I'm traveling near to the alcoholic smell of the bar that is across the city right in front of me.
     I have traveled through woods and highways for at least 2 days and I have somehow made it to a big city. I see houses and people walking, and I also see flashing lights signaling a nightclub or a bar. It's late at night and the streets are tremendously busy, which is weird for a small town girl like me. I'm watching everything with my new eyesight. I can see details I would have never noticed as a human. It was amazing.
     One thing I have noticed is there are a bunch of vampires here as well. I can tell the difference because our eyes kind of glow in the dark. All of these vampires are just watching me walk by and when I pass them I can feel there stares burning into the back of my head. I can tell every vampire is looking at me, and I don't know why. I don't know if I should feel special or scared. I just kept walking. I have seen a club a few blocks away that vampires seem to flock too as they seem to be the only ones I have seen enter the place. All of the humans don't seem to pay attention to any of us. I thought that they would freak out with all of the glowing eyes around them, but no they seem all calm going about their business. It was strange and I am a newborn vampire, so everything is new too me and I still am still unsettled by all of the glowing eyes. The first time I noticed my eyes I freaked out.

     I walked up to the club. Their were big vampire bouncers in front checking everyone.

'Crap, I dont have my ID. Im only 20 years old'   I look down the line for the club and then back to the bouncers. They don't seem to be checking id's. They just look at them and let them in so maybe i will get lucky. I get in the now short line and wait. 

As I walk up the the bouncers they stare at me and they smile at me. It was kind of flattering and kind of weird. They seemed to be undressing me with their eyes. I guess it's good that after these few days I stayed clean. Found some places too stay and showered. I also found some dark clothing stores and used my speed to take 'some' clothes without being detected. It's pretty awesome being a vampire I guess. I was currently wearing a short black dress that came just above my knees, only one shoulder was covered and it had jewels running down to the bust. I also had just black flats on my feet, I felt amazing. 

     They finally let me in, I walked through the doors and down a long hallway with bare white walls and a blood red carpet. I could already feel the bass of what ever song was playing inside, and boy did it make me wanna move. I walked through the next set of doors and the sound hit me full force and I smiled. It smelled like alcohol, perfumes and blood. I looked around at all the dancing bodies and flashing lights and started making may way through the crowd with no destination in mind, just observing. I have a feeling I will be staying this city because I already love this place.

     I started dancing to the beat even if i didn't recognize the song. Just swaying my hips enjoying myself. Some vampires came up to dance with me, male and female. I was having so much fun. I decided to check out the bar. 

"What can I get you, beautiful?" The bartender asked me as his eyes roam my body. I smirk back at him. "Hmm.. Can I have a cherry smash?" still smirking at him, my fangs showing. "You sure can." he winked at me. "You look a bit young to know any drink names." He jokingly questioned me while preparing my drink. "I'm just a year shy of being legal." I laugh as he looks at me shocked. "Changed so young?" I nodded. "Where is your master lil' one?"  He looks concerned. "He is NOT my master!" I sneer. He holds his hands up in apology so I calm down. "One of those cases I see. Ah well you pretty cute for a fledgling. Do you want your drink splashed?" I look at him confused. "Wow you ARE new. Splashed means add blood to your drink lil' one." I nod at him and wait. He finishes my drink and hands it too me.  "Enjoy m'lady." he bows and I laugh walking away.

Male POV

     I was sipping my drink in one of the booths facing the entrance, just watching everyone. This club was a good place to be with my own kind but it gets kind of old. I was watching this one couple, two females dancing together, for no reason but just for entertainment. I heard the doors open and this wonderful smell hit my nose. My head whipped around so fast if I was human surely I would have whiplash. I saw the most beautiful woman in my life, and her scent was driving my crazy. She smelled so sweet yet sexy at the same time; freesia, lilies and some sort of musky fragrance. I stood up as I watched her dancing, jealousy overcame me as I watched others come up and dance with her, wishing it could be me. I was about to walk over to her when she headed towards the bar. I walked closer to her, feeling a pull in my chest dragging me towards her. I overheard her entire conversation and I was shocked. She's has to be a newborn. I'm surprised she is so controlled. She walks away from the bar towards me. I walk in front of her and watch her take in my appearance, her eyes glazing over as the vampire in her was recognizing her true mate.

"What is a pretty little thing like you doing in a place like this?" I tease her as I smirk. Her eyebrow raises as she just stares at me. "May I ask who you might be, asking me such a question?"  she responds.  I take a bow holding out my hand, she takes it smiling at me. I kiss her hand gently as I answer her question.

"Pardon me little miss. My name is Vladimir, but you can call me Vlad." She smiles wider at me and it makes me feel so happy to see her smile.
