Justin:
I payed the taxi driver as I stepped out the car and got my bags from the trunk of the car. Finally, a new start, time to start clean. I took in a deep breath and walked towards the one story house I bought before I moved here.
Why did I move, you ask? It all started a long time ago, when I was 15 years old. I was out with friends one night, and somehow one of them ended up slipping me a bottle of beer and things led to another. At some point everyone left, leaving me stranded in the middle of the street drunk late at night. I walked around for what seemed like ages until I came upon an alley way, and me being the dumb ass I am, walked towards it. I kept walking, stepping into puddles and broken glass, and suddenly I felt like I was being stalked. I turned my head to the side to see if anyone was behind me; no one was there. I just shrugged off the feeling and continued walking. Then out of no where I heard a bang and something fall. I turned around to find a few garbage cans tipped over and trash scattered everywhere. Probably a cat right? A breeze blew through the back of my neck, causing me to turn around, and see nothing but an alley way once again.
At this point I was starting to feel aggravated, so I just continued walking the way I was and ignored all the sounds and feelings that came my way. As I was walking, I began to hear footsteps following right behind me. I looked through the side of my eye to see a figure stalking me. I decided to pick up my pace, and the figure did as well. I picked up more speed and ended up running as fast as I could out of the alley, hearing footsteps running after me. I did a few turns here and there and finally decided to stop and catch my breath. I looked behind me to find no one there, I must've lost him. Glancing around, I realized I had no idea where I was. I sighed and shook my head.
I froze in place as I heard knuckles cracking and a slight chuckle right next to me. "So you thought you can outrun me huh?" The man said, shoving me up to a wall and pinning my arms up against it. I tried to fight back and pull out of his grasp, but he ended up kicking me in my stomach and I began to feel nauseous. I looked up to capture his facial features. He looked like a man in his mid 30's. He had brown spiked hair, and.... Red eyes? Fear took over my body as he smiled and opened his mouth. "Like what ya see?" His canine teeth grew bigger. I stood there scared, hoping this 'creature' won't kill me. "Ya know there's a name for people like me," he said gripping my wrists tighter to the wall. Did he hear what I thought or am I going crazy? "W-what is I-it?" I stuttered. He leaned down closer to my ear, his breath hitting my neck while he whispered the word that caused me to rethink life.
"Vampire," was what he said.. And before I got a chance to fight back, he sinked his teeth to the curve of my neck, and everything is a blurt from there.
I don't wanna get exactly into detail about what happened after that night, so I'm just gonna sum it up for you. I ended up turning into a vampire and feeding on people for blood. I learned how to control my urges and fight against them on my own, since the jackass that turned me left me stranded in the middle of an alley way. I also learned how to trigger my advantages that came with being a vampire; speed, hearing peoples thoughts, flexibility, strength. I would kill at least about 2-3 people a day to satisfy my hunger. At some point I decided to start drinking animal blood because it's more healthier, plus I won't get in trouble for it. But even though I fed on animals, I sometimes crave humans. The human blood has this sweet taste to it, sugary with a twist. Animal blood isn't that bad, it just isn't as sweet as human blood.. But hey, if it keeps me off the Most Wanted list, so be it.
One morning I woke up and decided to start clean and get rid of my past. So I went online and bought a house that was in the quiet town of Stratford, Ontario, Canada. Once I got my confirmation saying I was allowed to move in, I packed my bags and bought my plane ticket. I got rid of all my furniture and put my house up for sale. The day came for my flight to a new life, and here I am.
I unlocked the front door and brought in my bags. I looked around the living room and kitchen, it was like any modern house. I walked to what I was planning on being my bedroom and looked inside the bathroom and closet. It's pretty big, and that's how I like it. I smiled and sighed with relief. For once in my life I feel at peace, free from the murder cases and problems. I felt... happy. I stepped out of the room and opened the fridge, empty. Well, maybe I should go get some furniture, and then some 'food' incase any human decided to pop up for a visit, which I highly doubt it.
I would drive to the furniture store, but they're still bringing my car up here. So I guess while I wait I'll just walk. I looked around at the houses that I passed, most of them were very well cared for; clean porch, trimmed grass, decorations. I'm not the creative type of person, but I do like a well kept home. As I continued walking, I passed by a U-Haul office. Might as well rent one for the day since I'm buying furniture.
I pulled into the parking space at IKEA. I always liked the furniture they had here, it just gave me this feeling of comfort for some odd reason. I reached for one of the shopping carts and walked through the store. There was this black bed frame that I liked a lot, they also had it in white and it would go perfectly with my Polo Ralph Lauren bed sheets. I wrote down the items number on a sheet of paper, as well as the nightstand number and dressers.
I finally walked into the living room section of the store and looked at the couches. I ended up writing down the item numbers of this black leather couch, with a black leather love seat to match, a glass see through coffee table and a 58' inch flat screen. I picked up a few decorations here and there to make my house somewhat look good; paintings, lava lamps, the usual. As I was walking towards the inventory to get my furniture, I crashed into someone with the cart.
"Oh my god I'm so sorry," I said running towards the body sitting on the ground. It was a girl, probably around my age. She has dark brown hair and ocean blue eyes. She looked up at me and smiled, "It's okay don't worry, you didn't see me." I held my hand out to pull her up, which she gladly accepted. "Thanks, I'm Ariana by the way." I smiled and cleared my throat. "I'm Justin, nice bumping into you," I chuckled. She giggled and I have to admit, she has a cute laugh. I also have to admit that she has an amazing body, those curves could drive anyone insane. As I took in a deep breath, I caught her scent. She smelled so sweet, AB Positive my favorite.. I just want to sink my te- NO JUSTIN SNAP OUT OF IT! You just moved to a new town; new start.. Don't fuck it up.
I cleared my throat and looked at her, "Well I gotta go, nice meeting you." I said grabbing my cart and walking towards the inventory. "Wait, Justin!" She yelled, running right behind me. She passed me a folded up piece of paper. "Maybe we can meet again?" She asked in a nervous tone. She wants to hang out with me? Well who wouldn't? Man I gotta stop being self-centered. "Uhm, yeah sure." I replied with a smile. She grinned and looked down shyly. "So I'll see you soon then." She fiddled with her fingers while I chuckled. "Definitely." She nodded and turned her heels, "Bye Justin," and with that she walked away.
I sighed and began searching for my furniture. I still can't believe she wants to hang out, well she doesn't know what I am so that explains a lot. I think I should have made up an excuse not to hang out with her, but then she'd be suspicious and it'll make matters worse. I punched the bar of my cart, it's what I do when I'm stressed.. Why am I stressing about hanging out with her?
Because I want to kill her.
