Ella was out walking in the flower garden, to the spot she went to when she wanted to be alone. Her mother knew her to well, and came looking for her.
"Ella," she said gently,
"I know you're disappointed you couldn't go with your father to work today, but we can still enjoy the rest of the day! Why don't we go on a horse ride?" Ella eagerly said yes.
After getting Buttercup (the horse) set up, they then head out of the stables. Ella was only seven , and had to ride with her mother. Ella looked up at her 2 story house as they rode past it. It was perfect in her eyes. It was bigger than some peoples homes, but yet still smaller than others. Ella looked ahead and gasped,
"Mummy look the Blue Tulips have blossomed!" Blue tulips where Ella's favorite.
" Why yes they have! They are beautiful, inside and out just like you Ella." Ella looked into the lake they where riding by, she saw her and her mothers reflection.
Everything at that moment was perfect in Ella's mind, until the most awful thing happened. Buttercup got spooked! Mother was thrown off Buttercups back, and landed in the deep of the lake!
"Mom!" Ella screamed,
"Mom! Swim!" But then a thought struck her. Mom couldn't swim!
She jumped off Buttercup and into the lake and landed very close to her nearly drowned mother. Ella at that moment wished she had learned to swim! She was drowning. She tried to yell for help, and swim to her mom to save her. Then the staff of the house came rushing out. Bill, one of the staff members, swam to Ella , then swam Ella back to the surface. Then everything went black.
When Ella woke up her mom was gone. The staff then told her that her mom wasn't coming back.
