Hhhh... Hhhh... It's all that was heard by a certain raven's sharp ears. The crickets outside the window were drowned out by the shallow yet loud breathing of the other body in his bed. All that he could do was listen to it. It was relaxing; soothing. Any other variant of the word a person could think of. He enjoyed it. To a point that he couldn't live without it by now; he was too used to it. He would go insane if he couldn't fall asleep without the sound of the other person's breathing.
he wouldn't care if he left me...
came a small voice in the back of Izaya's head. That voice. It ruined his natural lullaby. The voice infuriated him every night, just speaking what was incapable of being said put loud.
The other body stirred and suddenly, blond locks of hair came into Izaya's veiw. He smiled and turned onto his side in time to see caramel orbs peek out from behind dark lashes as they cracked open.
They were hazy, as the other was still in the process of waking up, but that didn't stop Izaya from leaning up to capture soft lips in his own.
Shizuo Heiwajima smiled in response and wrapped an arm around Izaya's waist, pulling him closer to kiss him back. He reached a hand up, cupping the raven's cheeks and pressing their foreheads together.
"Good morning, Izaya-kun." he whispered, receiving a nod and a smile in response. "How did you sleep?" he murmured, gently rubbing Izaya's now closed eyes with his thumbs. Izaya simply shook his head, making the other frown. "did you sleep at all..?"
The raven looked away, shaking his head slowly. "Izaya you need to sleep..!" Shizuo said, concern in his eyes as he stared into red orbs, although they were dull compared to the bright and vibrant that they normally were.
Izaya was broken. And Shizuo knew why.
He sighed softly and pressed his lips to Izaya's, getting a small kiss back in response. When he pulled away, Izaya smiled happily, a genuine smile on his face.
"How can I keep Master happy and satisfied if I'm asleep?"
