We somehow made it to a small town hundreds of miles away. Low on money we were forced to stay. We met an old woman as we were looking for odd jobs so we could pay for our poor little trailer we rented in a trailer park. We were scared to get real jobs because we did not want to be found. We used fake names. We were careful. Anyways, this old woman's name was Geneva. She could brighten anyone's day. She took a shine to me after I had helped her clean her house and weed her garden. After a year, Xander and I relaxed. Maybe they had stopped looking for us. We soon fell in love and a few months later I fell pregnant. I was frightened and did not know how we would care for the baby. I ran to Geneva for advice, she gave us much more. She offered her home. She said she had missed having company in her old age sense her husband died. We stayed there for years, helping her and saving our money. She passed away. Xander and I were devastated but we needed to find a new home to raise our now four year old son Felix. With the money we saved we were able to not worry about renting somewhere. We continued working and saving to give our son a beautiful life. I am sure no one would have ever thought that two crazy people could be great parents but we were. We learned the hard way on how not to be parents, but neither of us would have wanted a better life than we had with our son.
