******1MONTHLATER******
It's the day before Thanksgiving and sadly I got to work. I should be helping my aunt move, but almost everyone is out of town. Ugh, this is torture, I have to sit here all day taking orders and serving coffee and snacks while my dad is helping my favorite aunt and cousin move a block away from us. There are only a few customers because most of our regulars are either out of town or spending time with their families.
"Get off your lazy ass and let's go." Beth said, throwing my coat at me. "Where are we going?" I slid on my coat and drank the rest of my coffee. "I got Cannon to give us the rest of the day off so we could go help your aunt move. What's the address?" I almost hugged her but she hates that so I just put in the address and hopped in her car.
The traffic was horrible, so it took us a little over ten minutes to get there. I ran up to my dad who was returning to the Uhal. "I thought you had to work all day." he exclaimed. "Mr. W where do you want me to put the desk?" Ty yelled from the living room window. "First door on your right!" he yelled back.
I gave him our secret look. This one said "what the fuck". "I thought you were going to be at work all day and we need all the help we can get." he explained. I rolled my eyes.
"Maya?!?"
"Katie!!!"
We ran into each other screaming like little girls who got their own pony. We reminisced, I introduced her to Beth and we just talked while the men and my aunt brought everything in the apartment. I told her what happened with Ty and she busted out laughing.
"So does that mean he's available?"
"You're such a slut."
"You're a lonely ass hag go get a life."
We laughed and insulted each other for a while longer, then they had to get serious.
"Do you forgive Ty?" Katie asked. "Because if not ill cut his dick off and bury it at yall spot, then burn him alive." Beth added, sounding serious. I just stared at them so many things running through my head, I couldn't even narrow them down. "Yeah I guess I just need the right time to tell him." I just saved his life he owes me big time. "Perfect timing here he comes." Katie said with a gigantic smile slapped on her face. "Come over here" Beth yelled with a devilish smile.
He sat down next to me and tried to get me to look at him. Katie cleared her throat. "Can we go somewhere?" I asked softly. He helped me up and we went to the stairwell. He stood in between my legs. "So what did you want to talk about?" I looked him in his eyes.
"i forgive you. i dont know why i over reacted so horribly and it was killing me inside that i couldn't talk to you i just was too stubborn to admit that i was wrong."
"you reacted perfectly becuse if it was vice versa i woulve reacted the same way."
i went to hug him and i took his phone out his pocket. I hurrily put it behind my back when the hug ended. I know he hates when I go through his phone but I was courios if he still talked to whatever her name was. he seen my hand move behind my back and knew i was hiding something. "what do you have?" he interogated me. I looked at him as he checked his pockets. "give me my phone" he demanded. I shook my head and tried to run upstairs but he grabbed me by my belt loop.
I retuned to the step laughing still hiding the phone behind my back. "you gone give me my phone" he threatened. "or what?" I played along. "don't make me do it you have three seconds to hand it over." I got closer and he started to count down.
"three"

"two"
no hes not
"one"
whats he gonna do?
he kissed me. I flinched at the feel of his lips on mine. I knew they were soft from when he kissed my forehead or my cheek but damn. I soon melted into the kissed never letting go of the phone.
The door to the stairway opened and he quickly moved. The girls came in looked at us weirdly. "Maya we're gonna hit the mall you wanna come?" Beth said eyeing Ty. "Sure, here's your phone I'll catch up with you later." I said giving Ty a hug then handing him his phone.

I arrived home at around ten. I texted him i was home and he texted me two minutes later: Got another date with Carol be back around midnight. I searched the fridge for something to eat but everything was cooked for the dinner tomorrow.
I grabbed the tub of ice cream and scooped it into a bowl. I picked up If I Stay and popped it into the DVD player. I wanted to curl up next to Ty While he ate off my ice cream like we used to do.
I picked up the phone and dialed his number.
"Hello?"
"Come over"
"Why"
"I haven't watched a movie with you in a month can you just come over"
"Can we go to our spot after"
"Eww no I never want to go there again. There's a hidden lake in the trees behind the coffee house it's beautiful. I can just pick a movie off of Netflix and we can watch it there."
"Uhh I don't know I kinda wanted to be out in the open."
"Why"
"Please don't act like we didn't kiss earlier."
Silence
"M?"
"Yeah?"
"Nothing to say?"
"Not really you were just trying to get your phone. There were other ways-"
"But I chose to kiss you"
"I don't feel comfortable talking about this."
"M we going to have to talk about if sooner or later."
"I'll take later."
"LaMaya listen to me. If you didn't like the kiss or didn't want me to kiss you, you would've stopped me. Bit you didn't you kissed back and there was something there. Damn I got to go my parents are fighting again."
Hearing him say my name really hurt. It's always been M or Maya or baby girl. Never LaMaya.
I ate my ice cream and focused on the movie pushing the thought of the kiss out of my mind for a while.
It was 12:42am and my dad wasn't home. He may just be spending the night if he had anything to drink. I called Beth and asked her if she could come over. She was at a party near by watching over her little brother so she just brought him along.
"you haven't drunk anything have you?"
"hell no I have to drive this punk home he's already wasted wont do either of us any good if I was."
he brother fell onto the couch and threw up on my floor.
"ill get some towels"
We cleaned up the puke and he fell asleep so I put him in the guest room. We mostly talked about her life and I was fine with that cuz I didn't know how to explain that me and Ty kissed.
"So what did u want to talk about." Beth said through laughs reaching for the cookies we made. "Umm I totally forgot." I lied
It'll be best if I kept this to myself for a while.
"You're lying"
"No I'm not now what are you going to say when u see him?"
We fell asleep on my bed two hours later. After laughing and talking and pranking her sleeping brother we both were too tired to drive.
