I stir, my eyes snapping open as memories from last night flooding into my mind, drowning me. I sit up quickly, looking around. I was in.... my bedroom? Was everything just a dream? Cole, Dylan, what he did?
I hear something crash and sneak my way downstairs. I realize I'm only wearing underwear and one of my shirts. I step down the stairs, eyes darting around. "Mom? Dad!" I almost fall from shock when my mom's head pops out from around the corner.
"Hey, honey. How are you feeling?" I sigh in relief as I step into the kitchen, seeing my dad at the kitchen table looking through a sports magazine. "I'm good. Really good." I smile, seeing my mom cooking breakfast. "Are you sure? After that fall I thought your head would be killing you!" She laughs.
"Fall?" I ask, confused. "Yeah. Thank god Cole brought you home! You were gone for almost three days. We were worried."
Cole.
"Mom, where is Cole?" I ask, my voice quivering. "He went to use the restroom, he should be down any minuet." I run upstairs to the bathroom, not even scared for myself but for my parents. I swing the door open to find no one in it.
"Looking for me?" I turn around being met with Cole's blue orbs. "Cole, please-" he interrupts me. "You didn't think I'd do it, did you?" My breathing quickens. "Please don't hurt them! I'll go back with you, I promise." He laughs. "I told you the consequences and you still disrespected me." Tears threaten to spill out at any second.
I grab a handful of his shirt, looking him straight in the eye. "Cole, please don't do this. Please." He stares at my eyes for a few seconds before he grabs my wrists removing my hands from his shirt. He clenches his jaw before turning around and jogging down the stairs. I run after him and he's beside my mom in a flash, his teeth to her neck.
I let out a wail, tears spilling. She falls to the ground in pain, screaming. I hear a wail from my dad. I turn to see Dylan, his face in my dads neck. "Stop! Please!" I run over to Dylan, attempting to pull him off my dad. "Dylan, please!" He shoves me to the ground effortlessly. I quickly stand up, running to him again. He grabs me by my neck, slamming me to the ground. I felt a warm liquid coming from my nose.
Blood.
I look over to my mom, my vision slightly blurry. She laid on the floor, lifeless. "No! No! No! Please! Please!" I crawl over to her, shaking her. "Wake up mom! Please!"
"Don't run from me ever again." Cole stood behind me, mouth dripping in blood. My mother's blood.
Anger floods over me as I stand up, punching him in the face as hard as I possibly could. He looks at me fuming with anger. He sighs before speaking. "Don't hit me again Maisie." I go to punch him again, but he grabs my fist before it can make contact with his face. I wince as he crushes my hand.
He let's go, smirking.
"I hate you."
