"Maisie." Cole's eyes widen in shock but quickly turn black in anger. His head snaps to Dylan. "Why is she in your room?!" Dylan's eyes snap to mine before speaking. "She was asking where you were. Then she heard you and got scared. I told her she could hide in my closet."

Cole stalks up to me, grabbing my chin and tilting my head up so that I was looking into his eyes. "You're scared of me?" I nod. He takes a step back. "Is it true? What Dylan's saying?" I pick at my fingers, something I tended to do when nervous or lying. I nod again.

He shakes his head, pacing. "I don't like liars Maisie." Dylan looks at me before indicating me to stop playing with my nails. "I'm not lying." In a flash, I'm up against the wall. His hand was wrapped around my throat as I struggled to breath.

"Cole stop!" Dylan rushes up to Cole, yanking at his arm before being thrown back. My eyes widen as it gets even harder to breath. "What were you doing in Dylan's room?" I couldn't speak because of his tight grip on my throat. "Cole, she can't say anything with your hand around her neck!"

He let's go as I slide to the ground gasping for air. "I'm gonna ask you one last time, what where you doing in Dylan's room?"

"I-I came to give him back his journal I took." I breath. Cole nods. "What else?"

"Nothing, I swear."

"What happened after you gave him his journal?"

"He was mad, yelled at me of course. He never hit me though."

"And after that?"

"That's when you got home."

He chuckles, a smirk on his face as he kneels down to my level. His eyes stay on mine for a few seconds before I hear a snap and feel an excruciating pain in my left leg.

He broke my leg.

I scream in pain as Dylan jumps up.

"Cole stop!" In an instant, Cole has his hand around Dylan's throat. "Tell me what else happened or it's her other leg." My eyes widen at his words. I grasped my leg with my hands, tears falling from my eyes.

"Nothing happened Cole."

Cole's by my side in seconds as another loud snap is heard.

My finger.

I scream in pain, as I try to fight tears back. "Stop! Stop! You're hurting her!" Dylan's hands run through his hair before speaking. "I started getting upset about Beth okay? She was just trying to comfort me and we fell asleep, that's all!"

"There's something you're hiding, what is it?"

"Nothing."

I was sweating now, my vision was slightly blurred.

"Tell me now! Or it's the other leg."

"I held her hand."

Why was he lying for me? I held his hand.

Cole nods, hurt.

"I'm gonna kill you."

I shake my head, trying to clear my throat.

"No, it was me. I held Dylan's hand, I made the first move. It was me, I swear." Cole's eyes dart to mine.

"Well then," he pauses, wiping a few stray tears. "I guess that means you have to be punished." He picks me up bridal style before walking me to the door.

"Cole stop! She's too weak! You'll kill her! She needs medical attention!"

Cole ignores him as he continues walking. He lead me to the basement. I squeezed my eyes shut at the thought of being locked in that room again popped into my mind.

"Cole, please."

His eyes meet mine but quickly dart away again.

"You're mine princess and you need to realize that. Everyone does."

My grip tightens on his shirt as I remember the room. Without any medical attention, I was more than likely gonna die in there.

But Cole never walked through that door, he turned right, leading me to another door.

All pain from the small room I was once held in was nothing compared to what I experienced here. This room; this room was hell. And I was locked in here with the Devil.
