Kira

It was about seven p.m. when I arrived back home. After leaving the coffee shop, Nita and I decided on a mani-pedi date before separating. After leaving Nita I pondered on whether or not Darryl called this meeting to discuss our future, though Nita told me to expect the worse I knew better than that. Darryl and I had been together on and off since I was seventeen; there was no way he could've just lost feelings for me. Deciding that I should look my best if my baby was going to reconsider I made a trip to my usual hair salon before heading home.
Upon entering the bedroom, I walked over to my vanity and took a seat on the small bench. I starred at the reflection in the mirror. Time had been very kind to me. My tanned creme colored skin had a slight glow which only brought attention to my slanted chestnut colored eyes. My heart shaped face complemented my long slender nose and small but plump pouty pink lips. I ran my hands through my fresh honey blonde ombré bob cut. I spared at glance at the clock on my nightstand, before deciding to head into the closet to dress.
I walked into the closet and stood there for a while before deciding on a loose fitting multicolored sequined Roberto Cavalli dress that had a wide V-neck down the back. The dress brought attention to my new hair and looked great on my 5'5 slimmed but curvy figure so it was an all around win.  I then turned to my shoe shelves and grabbed the golden Giuseppe Zanotti sandal heels I had recently purchased. I grabbed the matching golden clutch from the shelf and walked out of the closet. Stopping at my dresser to place my wallet, keys and phone into my purse I did a once over. Satisfied with my look I headed for the stairs and out of the house.
Bucca De Beppo was in a plaza located about twenty minutes away from the house so I would get there just in time. I cruised on the highway as Steve Wonders' Ribbon in the Sky played lowly in the background. I hummed the smooth tune as I took my exit, and made my way down the road. I pulled into the crowded parking lot of Shallowcreek Towne Center and found a spot that wasn't too far from the door. Once parked I flipped down the mirror and check my appearance. I applied a little lip gloss and fluffed my hair before exiting the car and strutting through the lot. I made my way into the restaurant and smiled at the young hostess behind the podium.
"Good evening welcome to Bucca de Beppo. Table for just one tonight?" she asked. "No ma'm, two actually. And if it's not too much trouble could we have a booth?" I politely replied. She checked the floor map before picking up two menus and asking me to follow her. She stepped aside while I took my seat and placed the menus down on the table.
"Your waiter or waitress will be right with you." she said before walking away. I scanned the room while waiting for Darryl to arrive. There were so many happy couples but one in particular caught my eyes when a young woman pulled a small diamond ring from her wine class before glancing at her mate who was now down on one knee. I smiled at the scene as he looked at her with pleading eyes while confessing his love for her. She wiped at her eyes as he slid the ring onto her finger and sealed it with a passionate kiss. I lightly smiled thinking back to when Darryl proposed to me. The vibration from my phone brought me back to reality as I searched my bag for it. I quickly read the message from Darryl mentioning he was running late but he would be there shortly. I responded just a my waitress approached the table.
"Good evening, I'm Melanie and I'll be your waitress tonight. Could I start you off with a drink tonight?" She asked with a smile and holding her small notepad. "Yes, I'll take a glass of Pinot Grigio" I replied. She scribbled on her notepad before nodding and walking away. Fifteen minutes and two glasses of wine later Darryl had texted again letting me know that he was outside. By this time I was now full on tipsy and I was beyond anxious to know what he had to say. I checked my appearance using my phone screen and sat up straight in the booth before chugging the rest of my wine down. I looked towards the hostess station to see Darryl; dressed up and looking better than ever. The smile I was wearing slowly faded as the woman who stood behind him took his hand and made their way towards me. From afar the woman looked amazing. She had a mocha skin complexion and naturally long jet black hair that was pressed and fell to the middle of her back. Her slimmed body was curved in all the right places which only made the white tunic dress she was wearing look even better. A pair of nude louboutins were on her feet and she accessorized with gold jewelry. I squinted to make sure my eyes were deceiving me, but they weren't. The mystery female was no other than my sister; Marsha. My blood began to boil at the sight in from of me and I could feel the rage rushing through me. Darryl released her hand allowing her to slide into the booth first while he snuck a glance at her ass and then took a seat. For about two minutes no one spoke we only starred at one another from the opposite sides of the table.
"You're not going to say hello to your sister?" Marsha asked with a grin."Bitch you're no sister of mine, why are you even here? Darryl why the fuck is she here?" I gritted out. "I'll let your husband explain to you why I'm here?" she said as she looked over at Darryl. He looked as if he was about to shit bricks, he cleared his throat before he looked me directly in the eye.
"Kira. I'm so sorry, I never intended to hurt you that was the last thing on my mind. I just lost sight of the things that were important to me when the going got tough. What I-" was all he managed to get out before he was cut off by Marsha's obnoxious laughing. We both looked over at her and that's where it all went left.
"Fuck all of this soap opera apologizing shit. Since he won't tell you I will, Darryl and I have been sleeping together since before he went away to school. He fathers both of my children, yes your nieces and he's being paying me off to keep quiet about it for years. So now you can come down off you're fucking high horse because I've finally beat you at something!" She blurted out. I could no longer contain my anger as I lunged over the table at her.
"You bitch!!! I'm going to fucking murder you. You sleazy ass whore! Fuck you!" I yelled out as I wrapped my hands tightly around her neck. She began to scratch at my face as her eyes rolled back. I felt myself being pulled away from her and looked back to see Darryl trying to restrain me with sorrow written all over her face.
"I'm gone fuck you up bitch. Watch" Marsha said as she stood up from the booth. She started to walk away before stopping and doing something to the top of her dress. "Oh and also, I'm pregnant with your husbands fourth child" she said before tossing the pregnancy test at my face and strutting out. That's when I lost it, I struggled to break from Darryl's grip but after three minutes and no results I gave up and melted into his embrace. I sobbed onto his chest as I threw punches at him.
"I'm so sorry Kira. I swear I am. All of this was a mistake" he said as he wrapped his arms around me. I backed away from him as the tears stopped falling and looked into his eyes.
" I want you out of my house by tomorrow and I will be filing for divorce along with sole custody of Kylia." I said before walking away.
