"When you're talking to your girls, do you talk about me? Do you say that I'm a sweetheart? Do you say that I'm a freak?"

Lukas folded his arms across his chest, leaning against the doorway of Cabin Three. He'd spent more time outside of his temporary residence than inside of it, but there was mostly one reason as to why: Sierra Hanson, the fiery daughter of Apollo who seemed hellbent on making his life hell.

And there she was now, seated on the steps of Cabin Seven, chatting away with a few of her friends. Her dark hair was twisted up into a ponytail, waving softly in the light breeze. Her luminescent eyes were sparkling from some joke one of the girls said, and her lips were quirked into a ghost of a smile.

Lukas had kissed those lips as many times as he could count, but the daughter of Apollo still managed to blur certain lines between them. When they were surrounded by other people, they were always at each other's throats, until they were alone and were suddenly pressed up against one another. The son of Neptune couldn't tell what Sierra wanted, no matter how many times he'd tried to edge an answer out of her, reading her expressions.

He wanted her to be his officially, with no secret meetings or smiles and kisses under the cover of the starlight. He wanted to hold her hand in his on their way to various activities, to twirl her around at parties, to smile at her and have it returned with every ounce of love the two shared.

            But he was too afraid.

Lukas sighed, pushing himself off the doorway. He prepared to turn back into the cabin, when he caught Sierra's gaze, and the ghost of a smile on her lips stretched into something as bright as the sun her father controlled.

"Do you tell 'em that you love me the way I been lovin' you?"

Mark flopped back onto his bed, staring at the bottom of the bunk above his. He got lost in the sight of nothing, his vision blurring until he blinked. However, in the darkness of his mind he only saw those violet irises blinking back at him, filled with a mysteriousness that Mark wanted to uncover.

The son of Iris groaned, sitting up. He couldn't get Adhara out of his head, no matter how hard he tried. Had it really been over a year ago that they'd gone out on a date just to placate her wishes? Ever since then, he'd developed a muted attraction to the daughter of Nemesis, and after his time in the Regiment and away from his home and friends, it had hit him full force on his return.

Adhara seemed to be everywhere he was, but just out of reach. She was the glimmer in the corner of your eye, the flicker of a firefly, the fleeting darkness within a forest of mysteries; you could try and follow, but you'd never catch up. Her violet eyes lured him in from a mile away, her long ebony hair as sleek as midnight itself.

And she knew what she did to him, and that's what pained Mark the most. That he couldn't bring himself to just ask her out again, even if he knew that that's what she wanted.

But no, there was something intriguing about the chase, and that's what both of them wanted. For Mark to keep chasing the elusive beauty that was the daughter of Nemesis, until they tired of games and retired in one another's embrace.

Mark pushed himself out of bed, a new determination blazing in his head: game on.

"Cause every night you and I find ourselves kissing and talking like no one else; falling and falling until I fell for you."

Reese leant his forehead against Imogen's before catching his breath, and diving back in for another kiss. The pressure of her lips against his was enough to drive him crazy, it was like some sort of drug from another world that neither of them could get enough of.

Imogen's hands trailed up Reese's arms, sending shivers down his spine. His fingers flicked at the hem of her shirt, and he could feel the daughter of Cupid smile into the kiss. However, just as Reese was getting comfortable, Imogen pulled away, standing up.

No! He'd think each time it happened. Please not now, please don't go.

And yet she always would. She had a certain mantra that was beyond Reese's knowledge, and no matter how hard he tried to discover it, she'd pull away before he could. She wouldn't allow herself to get too attached to him, as if all they were was something fleeting in the moment.

Imogen winked at Reese as she stood from his bed, readjusting her hair and shirt before twirling on her heel and marching out. Even when the door shut behind her, he could still smell her perfume intoxicating everything around him, including himself. She wasn't there, yet she was always present.

Reese muffled a groan, wiping a hand over his face. This had to quit happening, but before he could voice his reasons, they'd engage in another heated make-out session and do the whole charade over again.

All the son of Apollo wanted was Imogen, without the secrets or the lies. He wanted her every second of every day, in his arms, to see her smile and hear her laugh. He wanted a commitment, not a game.

He'd fallen for her a long time ago, but as Reese sat on his bed alone, breathing in the scent of her that she'd left behind, he wondered when she'd fall for him in return—but when she did, he'd be right there to catch her before free-falling into whatever this was together.

"Cause I've been talking to my friends, the way you take away my breath. It's something bigger than myself, it's something I don't understand."

Kaden had been in love with Tessa for as long as he could remember, but each time he saw her, it was like falling in love all over again. Seeing Tessa was the feeling you got when diving into the ocean on a hot summer day, the rush you got on a rollercoaster, the energy that permeated a crowd as an artist walked onto a stage at their concert. She was excitement and beauty incarnate, possibly more beautiful than his very own mother.

But Kaden found that Tessa was most to be admired in her own element—literally. Beneath the stars and with the sea at their feet, Tessa became as eternal and immortal as their godly bloodlines. Her gemlike eyes would reflect the sea that splashed against the rocks, illuminated beneath the stars she loved so much.

Kaden could look at her forever, no matter his feeling like he couldn't breathe around her. She took his breath away each and every time, and seeing her smile and hearing her adorable laugh...gods help him.

He wondered how lucky he had to be to deserve her in his life. He'd lived through so many awful experiences that he wondered when the sunshine would ever return.

And it returned in the form of Tessa, the scent of the sea and the glimmer of Celestial bronze. She was unique, a treasure from the bottom of the sea.

The daughter of Poseidon hopped off of the rock, sashaying her way towards the waves beneath the moonlight. She glanced over her shoulder, an impish grin on her lips. "You coming or not, Gray?"

Kaden smiled, breaking out of his reverie. "Right behind you."

"I know we're young and people change, and we may never feel the same. So baby tell me what you say, when the girls talk boys."
