It had been a week since Robert had died. Nikko was still in the wind, and Chyna had her time coming. No one knew Adrianne's mom or where to find her, but that wasn't done either. Adrianne had come out of her coma, but didn't remember anything that happened to her. Anthony was relieved. He didn't want her to remember that day at all. He just wanted her to go on as normal, even though that phone call would be in his mind forever.
Anthony sat at the hospital bed with Coco and Adrianne. Adrianne was still in pain internally, but the bruises were gone. They sat there and talked, and Adrianne was finally smiling again. Anthony was happy to see that. Just when they thought things were looking good, Adrianne caught a sharp pain in her stomach. She grabbed it and yelled out.
"Ahhhhh!""Everything okay, babe?" Anthony was concerned as he got up.
"Yeah, just caught a slight pain," Adrianne responded.
It was a little more than slight, but Anthony took her word for it. Moments later, another sharp pain came, and this time it was fierce.
"Ahhhhhhhh!" she yelled.
Coco ran out to get a nurse. Within seconds her room was filled with doctors and nurses. Anthony and Coco were being kicked out so the doctors could work on Adrianne.
"The baby is in danger. You have to leave so we can do our job," the nurse said.
They went into the waiting room and sat on the edge of their seats. No one was saying anything. Anthony was biting his nails. He didn't know what to do. Coco didn't know how to coach him into believing everything would be okay, but finally the doctor came out, and Anthony ran up to him.
"Sir, is everything okay? How's my baby doing?" Anthony wanted the answers.
The doctor put his hand on Anthony's shoulder and said, "Mr. Jones, the baby is okay."
Anthony broke down, but it was tears of joy. He couldn't believe the toll this experience took on him. He was definitely getting the emotional symptoms of Adrianne's pregnancy. Coco watched in amazement. Love like this was only seen on television. Suddenly she got distracted when her phone went off.
"She's resting right now, but we will watch her and monitor the baby tonight. Hopefully she will be able to go home tomorrow afternoon," the doctor said.
Anthony gave the doctor a firm handshake and took a seat next to Coco.
"Okay, I got twenty-four hours to find Nikko," Anthony said to Coco as she put her phone away.
"I just got a text from one of the dancers at the club. They said Nikko went to Philly two days ago," Coco said.
"Is that information accurate?" Anthony spat.
"What you want me to do, go to Philly and find out?" Coco snappe back.
Anthony knew he was being an asshole, but he only had twenty-four hours, so he needed no mistakes.
"Nah, that's okay. Look, I need another favor. Adrianne might be coming home tomorrow, and I'm going to put her in a hotel, she can't go back to that house. I don't need anything else happening to her," Anthony said.
Anthony wanted Coco to find them a house. He knew it was a big favor, but Anthony didn't have the time because Nikko was his mission. He trusted Coco. She was Adrianne's right hand.
They parted ways when they left the hospital and got to work. Anthony called one of his friends from Philly. He knew Kevin would know if Nikko was around. Kevin was the boss of Philly, but only standing 5'5" with a bald head, and a scrawny body, people really didn't take him seriously. So, being a light-skinned brother, he must've put in some serious work. Kevin knew what went down, how, when, and why. Nothing went on in Philly without Kevin knowing it. Three rings and Kevin answered.
"Long time no hear from, brah," Kevin said.
He was ready, because he knew Anthony didn't call just to chop it up.
"Yeah, I know, but I have some homework that I need help with," Anthony said.
He coded everything. The cops weren't on him, but he was from the streets, so he knew the game.
"Okay, tell me the problem and I'll see if I can solve the equation," Kevin said.
"If Nikko left town and came to Philly two days ago without stopping, what time would he arrive in Philly?" Anthony said.
"Oh, hell, that's easy. The same day at 3:30 p.m. If I was him, I would book a room at the Four Seasons Hotel," Kevin answered.
Anthony caught every word Kevin was throwing. Nikko was hiding in Philly. It didn't matter, because he was gonna die there, too. Anthony was heading to Philly. He stopped by the gas station and filled the tank. He handed the gas attendant forty dollars and pulled off.
