THE CAT IN THE PICTURE ABOVE IS ELM

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The cat, Elm

Usually, on nights like these,  Elm could hear the busy cars on the nearby street, but tonight her alleyway lay peacefully.

Elm enjoyed peace and quiet, so god knows why she chose to live in an alleyway,  next to one of the busiest streets that she knew. Probably because she had nowhere else to go, and was afraid to leave the alleyway, in case she couldn't get it back.

Elm was just a cat, a cat with no place to go. After her owners kicked her out, she's been living a hard life.

Now she was living in a cardboard box, next to a trash can, in a dirty alleyway where it was nearly almost loud and filled with the sound of cars, buses, vans, all beeping, driving.

Was elm going to spend the rest of her life locked away like this? living off of the scraps people throw out?

Maybe.

The bird, Tick

Sitting on an electric wire was all Tick could do.

Looking down at that poor cat. He wanted to help her, but he knew deep down he couldn't help, he was just a city crow.

She was a pretty cat. Dark gray on the back, white paws and underbelly.  Stunning green eyes, she was pure beauty. it looked like she was wearing a tuxedo,  Tick's seen a few tuxedo's on men before.

He could see a lot of the city from his electric wire, and soaring over it, looking for a snack.

Tick watched her sleeping in her cardboard box.

he wondered what she was thinking on this peaceful night. He wondered himself if he could ever approach her.

He has seen a few birds being killed and eaten by cats. It was a lot to think about. by the look of her stomach, she would probably kill to get her paws on a bird, especially a big crow like Tick.

and that pained him.

The dog,  Rocky

Rocky was sitting at the door, wagging his tail and trying not to bounce around, like his heart was doing inside.

He was about to go for walkies!!

He loved going for walkies. Stretching his legs, smelling unique and different smells, breathing fresh air, and best of all

Peeing in the neighbor's bush!

Every sudden noise caused Rocky to bounce a bit. He fought the strong urge to bark out.

His owner was taking forever! does it take this long to find a leash? Bleh! Rocky didn't think he needed a leash, he was a good dog,

Unless he saw a car or another animal.

"Come here, rocky rocky! come sit here"

Rocky practically jumped off of his hind legs, bolting to his owner, trying not to slip on the wooden floor.

"Good boy, rockster! I need to put the leash on you now buddy!" His owner said, rubbing rocky behind the ear.

Rocky gave out an unsatisfied sigh as his head was slightly bobbled around by his owner, who was now attempting to attach a leash to his collar. Rocky wagged his tail a bit more at the thought of his owner struggling to find the right place through rocky's thick Golden retriever fur.

"Okay buddy! lets go to the door now"

Rocky Gave a satisfied bark as his owner got up, unlocked the door,

and out they went
