Kimberly:
Time is odd when you are dreaming. Sometimes the whole night goes in a flash. Others, it seems like hours, but on the clock only a few minutes have passed, like how I was feeling now.
The house was all silent. My mom was going to be home soon; it was 12:50. She usually went out ever since my dad died 2 months ago.
I know some people would think I'm cruel or heartless, but I'm actually glad he left & died. Sure, I do feel a little bit of pain; remembering those good ol' days where he would come from work & bring me back something special. But those were the times before he got cheated on my mom. That happened when i was 12. On my birthday.
I can't remember the exact details, since that happened about 4 years ago, but here is how it roughly went:
I'm wearing my favorite blue & purple tank with my skinnies. It was warm outside (My birthday is in June) & all my friends have arrived. They're all chillin' in my room. I'm waiting nervously outside for my dad to come. My mom was out doing the last-minute shopping for my present. (she's so absent-minded) My dad pulls up after 5 minutes late, He is exactly 1 hour & 2 minutes late.
He gets out of the car laughing & all smiles. I am fuming with rage. How dare he be like this when he was late to my birthday party! I open my mouth to speak, when i see an unknown female with blonde hair sitting next to my dad. I am left open-mouthed, confused, & angry at the same time. I'm used to having these mixed-feelings, though.
My dad stops laughing, & turns to me standing, waiting for his ass to show up finally. He can see I'm upset. And, he knows he has been caught.
They both get out of the car. Dad introduces me. The Blondie looks confused when he says I'm his 'daughter'. You could tell she didn't see that one coming.
That was really all I could remember clearly. I think she got angry at dad, but she didn't show it. He took her home, came back to the party, & acted normal, as if the earlier scene never really happened.
I questioned dad about it, after i blew up on him on why he arrived late. He made a dumbass excuse about he was "working late.'"Oh, he was working late alright. With his little "friend," he claimed, after i asked him about her.
I told mom about what happened. She said she already knew. I was completely flabbergasted. She knew? And she wasn't going to do anything about it? But, as i grew up, i began to understand why she held onto my father, and put up with all the cheating. And it disgusted me.
My eyes were getting a bit droopy. But i still didn't feel like sleeping. I hate when that happens; sometimes i just can't fall asleep at night. I guess i have alot of things on my mind.
Brayden:
School isn't cool.
I don't understand how people think we need to learn all that dumb shit. Especially history. I mean, really? Is learning about World War II going to drastically change my life in some way? Is learning algebra going to help me dealt with the concepts of life? I don't think so. So why do we need to know that stuff?' ]
I don' t totally hate school; i mean, i like seeing my friends, eating lunch, & seeing my hot girlfriend (make that, girlfriends) That was fun. But all the rest well....
I'm waiting at my bus stop. This girl, I used to date, Kimberly, was with me. She kinda looked sexy in that red top, & her skinnies & converse. Her hair was down; it was dark brown, like dark chocolate, & curly,& soft.
Kimberly knew i was a player, after we broke up. I remeber how hurt she was, but she didn't take it too seriously & acted all dramatic like some girls did. She just took it, & left. We still talk, though. But sometimes I think she's in her own little world.
"Hey, Kim."
She looked up,with a cold stare. She hated when i called her Kim; I have no idea why, & i never ask. "Hey." she said, with an icy tone. I swear, this girl got something going on.
"What's the matter?" I ask. I ask this everyday. She just stares at me, & looks down.
This time, she looked me in the eye, & said, "Don't talk to me anymore." She paused, & stared, then waited for the bus.
I was slightly taken aback. Girls usually never told me to not talk to them. They swooned every time they saw me, & flirted & sometimes got into fights for me. But Kim is a different girl.
"Kim," I said gently.
"Don't call me that!" She said, loudly. Her eyes slightly watered, but i knew she wouldn't cry in front of me. This girl was tough.
"Why?" I asked, hoping she would tell me why.
She sighed, then looked at the ground. What was with this girl? She was so...mysterious. I wonder what was going on in her world. I mean, everyone says she seems to have a perfect life & all...but they're rumors, so they're probably not true.
The bus arrived. I could tell Kim seemed glad about that. She got on the bus. Since she usually sits alone,i decided to sit with her.
She seemed frightened as i sat beside her, but seemed to accept my presence
We didn't talk much. It was one short ride to the high school.
Once we approached high school, everybody unloaded off the bus. Another day of this damn high school.
