The Day Lucy forgot

Chapter 9: Another job?

I woke up, again, to Lucy and I cuddling. I didn't really care. It was just weird because  she was dating Gray. He does treat her like shit. I'm going to beat his ass next time he lays a finger on her.

I got up and made some breakfast before the job. Before I made breakfast, Happy was in the middle of the floor, when I got up I tripped over him and hit my face on the wood floor. 'Damn it, Happy!' I got back up and made sure I didn't wake up Lucy. I didn't. Thank god, she's grumpy sometimes when she wakes up. "Natsu, what was that for?" Asked Happy, while he was half asleep still. "Sorry Happy, I tripped over you because you're in the middle of the floor."

"Sorry Natsu" said Happy, he went back to sleep after saying that.

I didn't want them both up because they need rest for the job we have later. The job is we have to is go get some rare strawberries for this old lady. Which means we have to go to the mountains and find them. There will be Vulcans there, they say that the Vulcans know where they are. I'll beat a couple to a plup just to show I'm serious. Plus, I can afford to almost lose Lucy again. So this time, I'm gunna protect her. I won't let anyone touch her.
"Good morning Natsu" Lucy said as she came in and hugged me from behind while I was still making breakfast. "Good morning, Luce!"

These past 4 weeks have been really crazy. First, Lucy and I go on a bandit job, then she forgets about me after an ambush, then she dates Gray, lastly, she gets her memory back and now she's in love with me. I'm not sure how to handle of this.

I finished making breakfast for Lucy, Happy and I. We sat down at her kitchen table and started to eat. Then, Gray came there. "Lucy! Open the door!" Gray yelled from the other side of the door. 'Damn, why is he here?' I thought to myself before Lucy stood up. "What are you doing?" I whispered.

"I'm opening the door. He won't go away unless I do. Just stay there."

"Okay, but if he starts anything, I'm going to kick his ass."

She went to the door and opened it. Gray walked in and seen me. "Why is Flame Brain here?"

"I told you. We are going on a job today." Lucy replied

"Then, I'm going too."

"Fine, whatever."

He sat down at the table with us. I think he wanted to come because I was going. He really pisses me off.

Suddenly, Gray looked at Lucy, who was sitting next to me, told her to come next to him. He pushed Happy off the chair. "Hey! Don't push Happy!" I yelled, standing up and slamming my hands to the table.

"She's my girl. I can do what I want to your dumbass cat."

"Gray! Stop, that's enough." Lucy said standing up and smacking him. " You won't go on this job if you treat people like that." Lucy was mad now.

Gray stood up and grabbed her shirt. "Don't you ever fucking tell me what to do." He said lifting her up by her shirt.

"Put her down. Now Gray." I was pissed now. I grabbed his wrist and he put her down. "Come on, Luce. We are leaving."

"Okay..." She said, Lucy was about to cry.

We walked out the door with Happy, Gray didn't come out till we got out the door.
"Come on Flame brain, fight me!" He said yelling at me. "Fine. If that's what you want Ice princess. Then, I will take that challenge." I said giving him an angry look.

We went a little ways from Magnolia, so we didn't destroy the town. We were in a field, Happy and Lucy were some distance away from them. "Who ever wins, gets Lucy." Gray said laughing.

"I know I will win, Ice princess."

"I'm sure you will." He said laughing

I don't think he thought I was serious, but if it was for Lucy, I would do anything. We took our spots. Let the fight begin.
