Walking the streets of New York City in the early hours of the morning can not be the best decision I've ever made, but here I am leaving my apartment complex.

The sunrise was slowly creeping over the large skyscrapers most people call buildings and Even in these ridiculous hours the city was still extremely busy and loud.

There was a diner only two blocks from my apartment that I Occasionally heard others speak highly of so what better to do then visit it.

The walk was short but New York at this time was freezing and snow was falling from the sky

The diner lit up with a open sign and a cactus.
"Well that's a little off" I thought to myself
As I pushed open the doors of the diner and approached the woman sitting at the front counter who I assumed was the hostess.

"Table for one please"
"Right this way Ma'am"

The diner was completely empty, not like I expected it to have anyone but the feeling was a definitely weird considering it was busy on the streets.

The whole reason I'm even here is because over thinking in my only talent. I had spent most of the night tossing and turning thinking about my life and what I want to do with it.

My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a bell chime meaning that someone else has entered the diner.

I peeked over my booth to find it was a a very attractive man who seemed to be about the same age as me, tall, dark hair, and eye bags stating that maybe he was having the same issue as me.

The hostess had sat him down in the booth directly in front of me,

I analyzed as he scanned his eyes over the menu. I think I had stared a bit to long because I didn't even realize his eyes caught mine and I looked down immediately.

"Damn it Ariel get it together you're 23"

5:00am

The next 20 minutes consisted of me finishing off the blueberry waffles in front of me which were actually some of the best blueberry waffles I've ever had.

The sun has almost completely risen and the sky was no longer a deep shade of blue but a light pink and orange. The light suddenly sparked the tiredness in me and I decided that it was finally time for me to sleep.

After I payed I slowly exited out of my booth and i took one last look at the man and his facial expression seemed almost impossible to read.

maybe a mixture of sadness and exhaustion?

The bell chimed at I left the diner and headed back to my apartment complex.

I arrived a mere 7 minutes later hitting the number 14 on the elevator and i watched the numbers get higher and higher until it reached my floor.

I reached in my pocket for my key considering I was only four doors down from the elevator,.

the second I walked into the apartment I hit my bed not even caring I still had my winter coat on or shoes And then I let sleep take over my body.
