There Is More That Meets The Eye

Chapter 2

I walked around the town because there was nothing else to do. I kept walking and no one noticed me. That wasn't a surprise after what happened last night. Yeah, I should probably tell you what happened last night.

I walked into the kitchen and put on the light. There was no one in the kitchen but there was someone at the door. I looked through the window and I saw an old lady at the door. I quickly ran to the door and opened it.
"Please help me. My car broke down and I have no where to go to" she said. "Please come in. You shouldn't be out in this storm" I said as I led her inside. "Please sit while a make a cup of tea for you" " Thank you so much. I really appreciate." "It's no trouble really. My name is Danielle by the way" "My name is Destiny" Destiny? Interesting name. "It's really nice to meet you Destiny. Here's a cup of tea." "Thank you so much" she said as she drank the tea. The rain had reduced by now which seemed like a miracle to me. Suddenly Destiny's phone began to ring. I left the kitchen to give her some privacy. By now the rain had stopped. "Danielle" Destiny called. I went to kitchen to meet her. "Yeah?" "That was my son. He's by my car now. So I need to go. Thank you for everything" she said as she took my hand. "It was nothing. Really" she looked me in the eye and then everything became blurry. "I am Hatima . Bringer of destinies. Hear me now Danielle, you shall sleep and you shall wake up and you shall know your destiny." I felt my self get weak and drowsy then all of sudden. Black out.

I woke up after what seemed like hours of sleep. I felt lighter. I didn't understand how or why I felt that way but I did. As I stood up I saw the most horrifying thing. I saw my body. I screamed as loud as I could but no one seemed to hear. This was all confusing. Am I .... Dead? But if I was dead, how am I alive still? Unless.... I'm a ghost.
"Glad you figured that out" I turned towards the voice to see a young lady in her mid-twenties. "Who are you?" " I am Hatima" "You! You killed me!" " No. I brought you your destiny." "My destiny is to be dead?" "No. Your destiny is to be a ghost." "But you were an old Lady and you said your name was Destiny." "That's just my human form." "Human form? I'm sorry I don't understand." "You will soon. Follow me."

And that is how I found myself walking in town. Hatima said she was taking me somewhere important. I wondered where.
