Just a story idea...

I kind of got a new idea for another crappy story

PLEASE comment on this idea, I value feedback, especially constructive criticism =3

(Anyway this story is kind of super similar to Amulet. I feel kind of guilty writing this :\)

Flame stared at the cave wall, her tired eyes kept open by the eerie amber glow that illuminated the cove. She moaned and slumped to her side, trying to fall asleep. Flame closed her eyes, but she could still see a slight orange tinge through her eyelids.

Flame got up drowsily. Maybe some water will help, she hoped.

The she-wolf trudged out the lichen-draped entrance to her den. As she left her small dwelling, the space behind her faded to darkness, but the atmosphere around Flame was bright and glowing, lit by the same orange luminescence. The light had followed her.

Don't think Flame was so clueless as to totally not acknowledge this. She was fully aware of this strange glow that followed her around. But she wasn't surprised, she had grown accustomed to this eerie glow that haunted her for almost five months.

Flame arrived in a slightly bigger cove, lit by fireflies and mysterious looking toadstools that glowed a blueish hue. But the cavern was mostly lit by the amber light that surrounded her.

There was a pool of water on the middle of the cave, several metres wide and shimmering softly. Flame stared at the rippling blue water for a few seconds. Then, all of the sudden, she plunged her right paw in the water.

The millisecond her paw shot into the pool, the water lit up a bright, glimmering orange. Flame slowly flipped her paw over, so the paw pads were facing her.

They were glowing a startlingly violent amber.
