I was moving to a new school in America, I was leaving my friends behind, I didn't know anybody. Focus Chantelle, think positive maybe you'll make some new friends.
I introduced myself to the class "hi I'm Chantelle and I just moved here from Australia" the class giggled, I didn't know what it meant until the teacher assigned me to a seat and a boy whispered to me "you talk funny," I got angry at him and hissed "its called an accent, get your facts straight."
At lunch I asked if I could sit with some girls and they just snickered and turned away from me "alright be that way then" I thought and ate my lunch on a swing outside.
When I was ready to go home the same group of girls came up to me and one of them sneered "did your mom get a fine for littering when she dropped you off here?" and another added "did you get dressed in the dark" "I want to insult you but I'm afraid nature already did" another chimed in, I ran off in a fleet of tears, hoping to get home as quick as possible "go cry to mommy waterworks" they all shouted to me, I could hear them laughing as I ran, I have only spent one day at this school and I already hate it.
