 Andy’s Pov:

As I’m still walking to go and buy my ice cream, I can still feel the heat on my face. I don’t know how long blushing last, but I know it wasn’t supposed to be this long. “Nice outfit”, I can still hear Max’s voice in my head.

“Get out get out get out” I mutter to myself. The boy or I should say guy is seriously something.

Trying to cool down my face, I managed not to bump into anyone walking pass by because my mind is in another place. I’m not gonna lie, Max is really cute and his height makes him that much cuter. I can’t remember a time when I felt like this towards the opposite sex, but all I know is this feeling or whatever it is better go away.

Walking in 7-11 I see Jack at the register just as he was earlier today. I’ve known Jack for years now and he is a nice fella with a wife and three kids. I’ve babysat for him before and didn’t accept a dime for it. That’s why he is always giving me free stuff at his gas station.

“Well good evening Andy”

“Hey Jack. Working hard I see”

“Yeah what else is new? “He chuckles… “What are you doing here? It’s kinda late no?”

“Yeah, but I’m craving for some sweets so I decided to come and raid your gas station” I smile at him sweetly.

“Of course! Fill free to anything you like”

“Thank you and I’m buying by the way” I said as I walk down the aisle to where the freezer is which is in the back of the little market. I hear him laugh from behind because we both know that’s not going to happen.

Looking in the freezer I can’t decide if I want the rocky road ice cream or the pistachio. They both are making my mouth water right now so I guess it won’t hurt if I buy two. After all, I’m only going to be in a sugar coma for a few hours so I should be good.

My hands were only a few inches from touching the freezer handle when I heard the sound of a ringing bell coming from the front entrance. I look over my shoulder to see two guys walking in. I simply shrugged them off and turned back around.

“OPEN THE CASH REGISTER” I hear yelling from behind. I jumped startled and when I turned around, the two guys have Jack at gun point.

I can see the fear in Jack’s eyes as he stood there with his hands up. I ducked myself down to the floor and the first thing that came to mine was to reach for my phone and dial 911 ASAP. I opened my bag in desperate search for my phone and realized I left it at home.

“Shit” I said quietly to myself.

Peeking my head in the aisle I see Jack open his cash register for the two goons to get the money. One of the guy jumps over the counter and started throwing all the cash in the bag while the other stands there still holding his gun at Jack.

Jack looks around and when he found me peeking my head out of the aisle, he nodded his head for me to stay put. I nodded my head back, but at this point I’m shaking like crazy and scared. This all seems surreal to me and all I want is for those two robbers to hurry up and leave.

When the guy was finish with the money, he jumps back over the counter… “Let’s go Leroy” he said to the guy still pointing the gun at Jack.

“Not yet Bruce. He’s seen our faces”

“Please” Jack pleaded… “I have a family. Just take the money and go”

“Well that sucks for them then” Leroy said and in a flash the gun exploded. The next thing I saw was Jack falling to the floor and a pile of blood began to stream down from his body.
