It's been 2 months since Levi died in the accident. The horrific events keep replaying in your head every day, reminding you of his death. You lay, curled up on your bed, no covers of and your eyes are rimmed in black. You never go out anymore. After he died, you left the Survey Corps. You only ever left your room for food and water. You never talked to anyone and pushed away anyone who tried to comfort you. So people stopped trying, thinking that you'd eventually come to your senses. But those memories refuse to leave your brain. It's like they've been burned into your mind. "It's all my fault" You whisper over and over again.
2 Months Earlier
"You ready for today?" Levi asks as you are saddling your horse.
"Yea, just a little nervous" You sigh and adjust the saddle's straps. You are actually terrified of today's mission, it's like nothing you've ever done before. Today, you are trying to capture and aberrant. One of the smartest and toughest Titans to kill, let alone catch.
"(y/n)" Levi says sternly and lifts your chin up to look at him. "It's going to be fine" He says calmly and tenderly kisses your forehead. You two had been together for a little over a week. Neither of you had actually talked about it but both of you knew it, like you could read each other's minds.
"Okay" You whisper and hug him one last time before mounting your horse. Levi does the same and so does the other four people in your squad. The six of you head out of the gates, Levi is leading and you are close behind. After 15 minutes of riding, you finally find the Titan you are looking for. It's a fifteen meter class aberrant.
"Right, It's going to take all of us to lure it over here, and we're going to have to get it back to the walls. I suggest we let it chase us about 1 meter from the the wall then attack it from all sides, trapping it in the manoeuvre gear wire." Levi says. "Any questions? Good" He says too quickly for anyone to put their hands up. "I'll go up ahead" He says. You all do the salute and Levi rides towards the Titan. He slices it's leg and it runs towards us. You all start riding as fast as we can back towards the walls. You notice the rest of the squad forming a protective circle around you as you ride.
"Hey, Can you guys move? " You shout at the squad.
"No can do (y/n). We're under strict order by Captain Levi to protect you" One of the troops shouts back. You sigh. There's no point arguing with them. They wouldn't dare disobey Levi. You can see the walls in the distance.
"All right troops! Spread out and attack!" Levi orders. Everyone spreads out around the Titan. They jump and use their manoeuvre gear. They boost around the titan and trap it with the wires. The Titan just stands there, shaking, unable to move it's limbs. Suddenly, the wires break and the Titan lets out a roar. It steps towards you.
"(y/n)" Levi screams.
"(y/n)..." The massive Titan grumbles, almost as if it's trying to copy Levi. You let out a horrified gasp.
"Run!" Levi screams again but you are frozen with amazement. The Titan takes another step towards you and Levi runs at it. He jumps into the air, blades ready, thinking that he'll take the Titan by surprise. The Titan turns around and grabs Levi in it's massive hand.
"Levi!" You screech.
"L...e....vi" The Titan grumbles again.
"Let go of me you son of a bitch" Levi roars. The Titan just stares at him blankly before squeezing it's fist, crushing Levi's body. He then drops Levi's mangled body into his mouth and chomps.
"Abort the mission!" One of the troops orders and then all start riding towards the gate.
"Come on! (y/n) He's gone!" Another troop cries and grab's your horse's reins. He pulls you towards the gate and you all manage to get inside before the Titan can get in. All of you lay at the gate, panting and covered in blood.
"It's my fault... I'm the reason he died" You whisper, tears stream down your face. And that's when you went cold. When you blocked the rest of the world out.
Present Day
"It's all my fault" You whisper. "Levi..." You cry.
"(y/n)..." Levi's voice whispers.
