The sun streaming through her window was what woke her the next morning, she rubbed her eyes sleepily thankful that it was Saturday and glad that she did not have to go to the office today. She stretched lazily yawning while she did so remembering the strangest dream she had last night. A blush crept across her face at the things she'd done in her dream, she was mortified that she would behave this way even in a dream! There was something strangely familiar about the man in her dreams, she felt somehow she'd met him before. Frowning she got up throwing the covers away from her body, her mind going back to last night, she'd been having the same dream for days now; and it was always the same guy and the same mortifying activities. She groaned out loud thankful that they'd been just dreams and nothing more. Tightening her robe she went into her kitchen to make a fresh pot of coffee. She opened the windows letting the light stream through brightening the room, then turned on the coffeemaker. Rebecca stared outside and yawned as she waited on her fresh cup of coffee wondering what she was going to do with her day. There was clothes to wash and things to do around the house and not forgetting grocery shopping she groaned out loud at the last thought, maybe she should do this first. She poured the coffee in a cup and sipped on it mentally planning her day.
An hour later she walked out of the house ready for the day ahead, she got into her vehicle and drove to the supermarket to get a few things that she needed.
'Hi Mrs. White' she greeted the middle aged lady behind the counter with a smile. Mrs. White looked at her and smiled.
'Have you seen your new neighbor yet?' She asked. She was one of those women that made everybody's business her business.
'I wasn't aware that I had a new neighbor Mrs. White' she responded kindly putting her groceries on the counter. There were eggs, ham, bread, bacon, ice cream among other things; she liked having her refrigerator well stocked.
'Yes' she whispered leaning forward, ' I heard that he is gorgeous!, you're so lucky living right next door' she chuckled and winked at Rebecca 'If only I was younger!'
Rebecca shook her head and laughed, ' you would still be in love with Mr. White'
'Yes I would be dear, that will be $250.00' she said putting the last of the things in the grocery bag. Rebecca paid for the stuff, wished Mrs. White a good day and left. She was almost out the door when she bumped head fast into someone well built. Annoyed she looked up to see who it was.
' Don't you look where you're going' she snapped and stopped when she found herself staring straight into the bluest eyes she had ever seen!
'You!' She breathed out loud, she was shocked this was the guy in her dreams! The bags fell from her hands awkwardly an she bent to retrieve them quickly.
'Do I know you?' Blue eyes asked looking very confused.
'No, no am sorry, you looked like someone I knew' she blushed and hated herself for being so expressive.
'Liar!'
Rebecca jolted upright and looked around her.
'Who said that?' She asked as she looked up at the stranger in front of her, he was looking at her strangely.
'Probably thinks am crazy' she muttered.
'Said what?' he asked her looking even more puzzled.
'Nothing, nothing at all, am sorry to have bothered you' she said and rushed outside, she needed to get out of there or else she would convince herself that she was going crazy!'
'You're not going crazy my little one'
There it was again, that sexy husky voice!
'Who are you, and why can I hear you inside my head!' she demanded.
'Mam who are you talking to, are you ok?' Rebecca turned around to see a young girl staring at her worriedly.
She laughed nervously ' just practicing some of my lines for a play, I must sound like a crazy ole gal, going around talking like that right?'
'Oh' the child looked relieved, she smiled then turned towards the supermarket.
'Wish you luck, have a good day!'
"Thanks!' She turned and found herself face to face once more with the blue eye stranger!
