Chapter Two - New Neighbours

"No no no! It's the other house! How often do I have to tell you where you have to go!? Put the car in the right spot. Now!" The car was a truck from a household moving firm. A man around 43 was yelling at the removers who already seemed a bit scared. "It's okay. As long as they are gone until 7, they can stay!" I told the man. The removers sent me thankful glares and started unpacking the truck. "Oh well thank you! You must be our neighbour then. My name is Steven. I just moved here with my wife, Linda, and our children, Connor and Tiffany. I'm sorry if I seemed rude, it's just been a long day." The man, Steven, explained while pointing to a woman around his age, most likely his wife, and a girl, his daughter. When they arrived at where we were talking, they introduced themselves and so did I. They seemed very nice. "Tiffany, go and find Connor, he has to help us unpack the boxes. Megan it would be nice if you told your parents we'd like to invite them this weekend to get to know each other a bit as we are neighbours now." Linda said. Tiffany, who I got along with from the very first moment, asked if I wanted to join and look for Connor, her "annoying and stupid big brother" how she described him.

Finally, after looking almost everywhere, Tiffany exclaimed "Connor, there you are! We've been looking for you for ages!" And wow. That boy looked cute. Connor looked up, annoyed. "I've been on the phone, talking to my girlfriend, if you don't mind, sis. Who is this?" he asked, pointing to me. How rude? "I'm Megan, your neighbour and it is not really polite to just point to people instead of talking to them directly." I said...where did I get this confidence from? Well I don't care as long as it is here.

"Wow okay sorry. I just didn't want to move here and leave my old life behind. I didn't mean to be rude. Let's start again: Hey, my name is Connor, I'm 21, nice to meet you." He said with a reeeeaaallly cute and apologizing smile. Well, today I'm not gonna be unforgiving. I shot him a smile and shook his hand. Well, seems like I will get along with my new neighbours very well! But one last thing I gotta know: "What school will you go to?" "Young Hollywood School, which one are you in?", Tiffany asked. "The same. If you want, I can show you around tomorrow?" She agreed and we talked a little bit more while I helped unloading the truck. When I went home, I knew a lot more about  my new neighbours: Tiffany was 19, just like me and we had a lot in common, like the love for music. Connor already went to College and studied law. Steven and Linda own a catering company ("Alvord's")who got the permanent offer to cook at the sets from movies, so they widened their business and moved to L.A. They all were very nice people and after our last neighbours, the Millers who we always argued with, I appreciated these neighbours a lot more than I would usually. I got home around 7, just in time with my parents who work both in my dad's company (don't ask me what they do, I never understood^^) and told them about our new neighbours and the invitation for the weekend. My mum was really happy and went straight over to tell the Alvord's we're coming. I went to bed happily. Maybe, I will finally have someone to talk to in school...some friends. This night, I was looking forward to school when I fell asleep, with a smile on my face.

So. Here's the second chapter, I hope you enjoy it! 3 reads on the last one, that's 2 more than I expected ^^ so thank you! :)) I really hope, this story will become as good as I imagine it in my head ^^!!
