Chapter 8:
-Louis' POV-
"How long has it been now?" Harry asked for the 5th time.
"Forty-five minutes." Zayn answered, looking at his watch.
45 minutes Lauren's been gone, where could she have gotten to?
I tried to get her attention when she left but she ignored all my attempts. The boys heard and came into the room to see what was going on. We've all talked about what made her suddenly leave but we just couldn't figure it out completely. It could be something to do with Eleanor, although I doubt it is. Maybe the number or the message...
I listened to the sound of the rain lightly hitting against the hotel window. She should be back soon, she won't stay out in the rain.
"Do you think she's now on her way back?" I sighed. The past 45 minutes I will admit, I have been a little over-protective about Lauren. I know the boys slightly want to annoy me about it but it's not the right time for jokes...
"She should be. It's raining, she'll get soaked." Liam stated. We all jumped at the sound of a knock at the door. Harry got up and quickly opened it only to be disappointed.
"Oh, hey Paul." He said sadly.
"Everything okay over here?" Paul asked.
"No. Lauren ran out now fifty minutes ago and she's not back yet." Harry told him. I slipped on some shoes and walked towards the door, grabbing the umbrella resting against the wall on my way.
"Where do you think you're going?" Paul grabbed ahold of my arm as I walked past.
"To get Lauren back, what did you think?" I replied, pulling my arm out of his grip and walking away.
"I'm coming with you!" Harry yelled and ran up behind me whilst trying to put his shoes on.
As soon as we walked out of the hotel, we were blinded by flashing lights. We ignored each and every one of them and just carried on walking. Eventually, we lost them and were in a very quiet street.
We turned a corner and saw a playground ahead of us. Walking closer a petite figure started to come into view on the basketball court. The rain made it harder for us to see who it was but I made it out to be a young girl.
She was sat on the floor with her hands behind her back and she was looking at her feet.
"Is that her?" I nudged Harry, coming to a stop and directed his attention to the girl a short distance away.
"Lauren?" Harry shouted towards her. She looked up and we saw a sad look across Lauren's face.

-Lauren's POV-
"Kayla?" I exclaimed, pulling myself up as quickly as possible. "W-what are you doing here?"
"I live near here. What about you? Shouldn't you be at home with your dad... oh wait, I remember. You ran away with your 'brother' and his band mates. I saw you on tv, you looked mental." She explained. I slowly started to back away as she continued talking. "I wonder, what are you doing in a basketball court? Do you not remember what happened in high school?"
"Of course I remember." I stiffened at the thought. I had walked so far back, I hit a pole causing Kayla to let out a small laugh. "I ran out of the hotel and ended up here, that's all."
As Kayla took another step closer, I went to run away but she grabbed hold of my wrist and dragged me back. I turned and she was inches away from my face.
"Why did you run? One direction not good enough for you?"
"I don't need to be dealing with this right now, Kayla! I need to get back to the hotel." I almost shouted, tugging my wrist away from her and walking away.
"Oh no you don't." She whispered. She pulled me back again and pushed me against the pole. My eyes went wide in shock and I wasn't able to move away again.
Then it happened. I was tied to the basketball pole again, the thing I was hoping I didn't have to go through now school was over. She walked away without a care in the world, leaving me once again.
It wasn't long until it started to rain making the situation worse. In high school, I managed to escape because someone untied my arms for me. It was the only person there the whole night. This area is almost deserted. There are a few houses around, but I've seen 2 people walk past before Kayla got here. Not a lot.
I thought more about high school and how everyone must've changed since I last saw them. I wasn't completely alone back then, I had my friend Niamh. The sad part is she was bullied too. I wonder where she is now or even if she's still alive.
Whispering brought me out of my thoughts.
"Lauren?" I heard Harry's voice. I looked up to see him and Louis a short distance away.
"Harry." I whispered, a small smile on my face. They ran over and immediately untied me. I jumped up and hugged Louis as he was closest.
"What happened?" Louis asked as I stepped back. My smile faded and I looked down at my shoes.
"There's something I haven't told you." I whispered, taking a quick glance at them before continuing. "I didn't have the best time at school. In fact, it was the worst. There was this girl called Kayla and she used to bully me with her group of friends. She found me here in the basketball court and tied me to the pole just like she did in school."
"We better get you back to the hotel." Louis said after they hugged me. "We don't need things like this happening again."
I nodded my head and we walked back to the hotel. I was shivering the whole way.
The boys decided to go through the back entrance of the hotel to avoid the paparazzi and we made it in peace to the hotel room. I went over to my suitcase and took out my pyjamas, avoiding all questions. I went into the bathroom to get changed leaving the boys to talk.
When I walked back out, I was again hit with questions.
"Can you just wait until tomorrow, please? I'm tired." I said. The boys nodded then Niall, Liam and Zayn got up and exiting the room. I walked over to one of the bedrooms and lay down on the bed. Shortly after, Louis walked in and sat on the end.
"Are you going to be okay for the concert tomorrow?" He asked quietly. I sat up on the bed and nodded. "Eleanor will be here tomorrow too." I started fiddling with my thumbs as I tried to think of something to say.
"Did you figure out who's number it was?" I finally asked. Louis shook his head.
"Not really. However, we will be watching carefully over you and the person we think it might be." I nodded my head slightly. Louis came closer and sat next to me. "Everything will be okay."
"Can you stay with me tonight?" I asked quietly, unsure if it was a good thing to ask.
Me and Louis have gotten quite close. Apart from Harry, I'm closer to him than the others. The problem was Eleanor. She's over protective about him, but I can see why. Louis is a great guy, I couldn't wish to know someone better. I've known them for 5 days, I don't want anything to ruin this.
"Sure." Louis said and wrapped an arm around me. I rested my head on his shoulder and soon found myself in a deep sleep.
A/N:
Sorry for a bit of a delay, I broke my laptop charger oops. But I'm updating using my phone at the moment and probably will for a couple more chapters.
I know my chapters are short, I am trying to improve them as I go. I tend to make some things up as I go. I plan out a few things and see how I can join them together when I write. I have no idea how long this chapter actually is.
See you guys soon :)
