Ice Skating & Ice Hurting

Chapter Seven - Voodoo Doll by 5 Seconds Of Summer

"And it hurts in my head and my heart and my chest. And I'm having trouble catching my breath."

   Later the evening, Katherine entered the skating rink with the four, looking around amazed. She doesn't remember how long it's been since she skated, but she knew she knew much about it and how to not trip or fall. 

   She put on her skates, seriously fifth-wheeling away from the the four. From far away, she watched as Stiles aimlessly try and talk or maybe even flirt with Lydia, and Scott and Allison were doing what couples would normally do. Katherine took off her jacket before skating.

   Walking onto the ice, she started off by just going around the rink in circles, right up until Lydia joined her, doing tricks. Katherine circled around her laughing. "Oh, it's on, Lydia." she joked, declaring "war". 

   Starting off easy, she simply did a spin just a Lydia did. Lydia did a spin again, except longer. Katherine smiled, watching Stiles be completely amazed, and also watching Allison trying to teach Scott how to skate, which was pretty funny. 

   Katherine smirked at Lydia, knowing that she didn't know how fantastic Katherine was at skating from when she was little. Getting ready, Katherine tried catching air, trying to move fast, when she knows it's fast enough she quickly jumped up from the ground, but as she did she used her left foot to give her a boost, she quickly twirled around in the air, landing within seconds.

   "Okay you win." Lydia said, passing by Katherine, chuckling. Katherine laughed, looking back at Lydia, but when she saw Scott slamming into the wall she laughed harder.

   To pass time, Katherine just skated in circles, a little tired. Looking around Scott and Allison were off, doing something. Passing Lydia, she watched as she stop skating, crouching to the ground, examining nothing but air. 

   "Lydia?" Katherine asked, moving close to her, but she didn't notice Katherine. 

   Lydia looked closely at the ice below her, using her palm to rub it. Katherine was confused, but was snapped right out of her confusion when she heard the girl beside her scream. Bending down, Katherine was trying to help her, then finding Stiles also next to her. Looking up she saw Scott and Allison, and it seemed that they were confused as much as Katherine.

   Katherine was sitting at one end of the table at lunch, waiting for Allison to sit next to her. Apparently Scott was directly behind her. Just then she head someone sit next to her, probably Allison. When she was about to speak she was cut off by Scott.

   "I know how it looked, but she came up to me." Scott spoke, neither of the two looking at each other.

   "I'm not jealous." Allison stated plainly.

   "You're not?" Scott asked, confused.

   "She's with Derek now, isn't she? Like Isaac." Allison assumed. "You can't get caught in the middle of this. Don't you feel what's happening? My grandfather coming here, Derek turning Erica and Isaac, it's-" Allison cleared her throat. "It's like battle lines are being drawn."

   "I know."

   "There's always crossfire."

   "What am I supposed to do? I can't just stand by. I can't pretend to be normal." Scott said, unsure.

   "I don't want you to be normal. I want you to be alive." Allison said, before leaving with her lunch. 

   So much for waiting at a table all by myself for five minutes.
