Lost Star

Awoken

I woke up like any other day, got up and stumbled to the bathroom to start up the shower. I walked back to my room to get a change of clothes but stopped by my father's open bedroom door. I saw a big teddy bear with a red bow around his neck and a small wrapped box with a big bow on it placed on dad's bed. I went over and picked up the box and noticed a note underneath it. 'Sorry Max I won't be home tonight or will be able to make it home on time by tomorrow morning. I have a small business trip to attend to. Please have a good 16th birthday, I love you Max. P.S. I hope you love the stars.' I read and smiled a bit. I slowly opened the small box to reveal star earrings and a bottle with star shaped crystals in them. I gasped as I examined the bottle with crystals, amazed by the sparkling reflections they gave off. I put all the items back into the box and ran over to my room grabbing my clothes then hurried back to the bathroom. I undressed and undid my messy hair bun letting my long hair flop down to my butt then hopped into the shower. I hummed a little tune as I cleaned myself. After I was done I wrapped my hair into a towel and grabbed another for my body. I wrapped myself then dried my body off the best I could. When I thought I was dried up enough I quickly dressed and walked over to the sink. Looking for my toothpaste and toothbrush. Once I found them I quickly brushed my teeth then headed out the bathroom. I walked back to my dad's room to grab the earrings and put them on. Then I went downstairs to make breakfast. I searched around the kitchen and saw that there was nothing to cook, so I just decided on cereal. After I poured myself a bowl I walked over into the living room. Then grabbed the remote and sat on the couch. I kept flipping through channels to find something good, but didn't find anything good. So I just left it on this random tv show. I was too lazy to walk back to kitchen to put my bowl back, so I just left it on the table in front of me. Suddenly there was loud banging outside the door which made me jump. I looked over and thought 'Dad's Home!!'. I quickly jumped off the couch and ran over to the door. I grabbed the doorknob and swung it open. My excitement changed to disappointment to see who was standing there..
