Chapter 13

Lucy's POV

  I watched in complete horror as she shaped her hair into her guild's insignia. Was she serious?!

  "Where do you want me mark you?" She grinned sickly, tilting her head to the side. Glaring at her, i tried to squirm free from her firmed grip. It was rather futile as her hair only tightened in response to my stubborness.

  "Oh! You want it there? Directly on top of your guild mark?" My eyes widened in disbelief. My sudden flinch went noticed by her as she smirked in satisfaction. My face might have drained out of color or was laced with fear which contented her. In support of her threat, she neared the improvised stamp made out of her hair to my right hand. In instinct, i started to struggle even more.

  "Don't you dare!" I spat angrily, sending her a sharp glare. The red head doesn't seemed to be fazed, though. Instead, she cackled darkly.

  "You shouldn't have angered me, blondie. Now, face the consequences." She threatened, bringing the mark closer to my guild insignia. My eyes were filled with horror and panic as i tried to come up with ways on how to escape the dire situation i was in. My arms and feet were firmly held by her hair, restricting my movements. My keys were attached to my belt, which means it's out of reach. My whip was sitting next to my pouch of keys, also not in commission. My only choice was to either let her or cast a spell that can expose my secret. I need to think fast. Is the long time secret more important than the sign of my family? Or the pride of my new found home over the secret that our ancestors died protecting.

  "You're done for, Blondie." Flare snickered. I watched helplessly, still debating on what to do. I glanced once again at the balcony were Fairy Tail was stationed, silently hoping that someone would notice. My last hope immediately crumbled when i saw them all cheering. No one noticed the strands of red hair that was threatening to hurt Asuka. I can already feel the heat radiating off her make-shift mark. Unconsciously, my mouth started to open. The chant replying on my head, tempting me to cast the spell. As the words started to slip off my mouth, i heard a familiar shout from the stands, snapping me out of my trance.

  "That chick threatened to hurt Asuka if Lucy fought back!" My saviour and partner yelled, earning everyone's attention. All eyes turned to him in time to see his right arm outstretched, burning strands of red hair clutched on it. I heard Flare gasped, retreating the rest of her hair.

  "H-How?!" My cheating enemy stuttered, beads of sweat forming on her pale forehead.

  "I heard everything thanks to my Dragon hearing!" The pyro smirked, earning another gasp from Flare.

  "W-hat-"

  "Do it now, Lucy!" i didn't need to be told twice. As her grip on my arms loosened a bit, i immediately bent slightly to take a specific key from my belt.

  "Gate of the twins, I open thee! Gemini!" A golden magic circle appeared behind me as two small blue creatures emerged from it. They fly through her hair, destroying it. Once free, i balanced myself as i landed gracefully on the ground.

  "My h-hair!" The Raven Tail member stared at her slightly ruined hair in horror and grief. I didn't waste anymore time as i faced my two spirits.

  "We're doing the big one!" I informed them.

  "The big one? But-"

  "We haven't perfected it!" They finished each other sentences, hovering almost above my head.

  "Don't worry. Just transform into me!" I commanded. They both nodded, twirling around each other before completely engulfing themselves in smoke. There stood in placement of them is a complete clone of me, only in a towel. My cheeks flushed red hearing the cat calls and whistles from the crowd.

  "Why are you wearing that?!"

  "This is what you were wearing when we last copied you." They—she said in the exact same voice as mine.

  "Right. Last night after i showere—don't look!" I cut myself off when i saw them—her peeking inside. Can this get any embarrassing?

  "It looks like Lucy Heartfilia asked her spirit to copy her. Just in a towel! Wooh! What is she planning?" One of the commentators said, earning a scowl from me. Better get this thing over with, to save my remaining dignity.

  "Survey the heavens, Open the heavens..." me and Gemini-me stood back-to-back, clasping our hands together. As we started to start our chant, i can hear the murmurs and whispers of the curious spectators.

  "All the stars, far and wide...
Show me thy appearance...
With such shine...
Oh Tetrabiblos..." our surrounding started to change. Stars and planets appeared, scaring Flare.

  "What do y-you think you're doing?!" She hissed, fear laced on her usual cocky tone.

  "I'm the Ruler of the Stars...
Aspect become complete...
Open thy melovolent gate...
Eighty-eight stars from heaven
Shine!" I opened my eyes, same as Gemini-me, a small magic circle on each of my brown orbs.

  "Urano Metria!" We finished our chant. The mood completely changed. Stars, planets and other celestial objects started to descend from the sky. From all the chaos, i still heard Flare's yells and shouts. Just as the spell was about to reach it's climax, i suddenly felt a strange magic. What was that? It can't be Flare. I would have sensed it earlier if she used magic. Then who?

  Suddenly, i felt all my magic being sucked out of me. I didn't have time to counter it since it came as fast as it went. Not another second later, i felt completely drained and empty. I looked at Flare with half-lidded eyes. Her facial expression showed shocked and realization. Slowly, her lips formed into a smirk. That's all i needed to confirm that she indeed had outside help.

  Slowly, i felt my legs give out. I started falling sidewards, hitting the dirty ground in less than a second. As i laid down humiliated, i heard the timer go off, along with the audiences insults and laughs. No one knew aside from the mages in the arena that Raven Tail cheated. I can tell that Mr. Yajima knew as well but he can't do anything to save my dignity. It's not considered cheating if no one caught them or no evidence was given.

Done with my exams! Thank God i managed to finish this chapter in time. I'm not sure if i passed, though. Hahaha, wish me luck!

Anyways, i died answering my math exam but was forced to back to life to be able to take my other exams. Gah! I failed it!!
