The sun beat on my face as I tried to sleep in on the hard ground. Unable to get to sleep again, I groaned and sat up, yawning and looking around. My home was an alleyway in London. I was originally from America, but my mother wanted to travel, so we snuck on a cargo ship and here we are. We're lucky we didn't get caught.

"Mom?" I called out. My mom's name was Tuesday, but she never told me why she was called that.

"Over here, sweetie." I got up and walked over to my mom who was searching through the garbage for stuff.

"Mom, you know I hate when you look through the garbage." She looked at me and smiled.

"I know, but I wanted to let you sleep." I shook my head.

"I'm going to go get us some money. Hopefully, some people would give us some." I kisses her forehead and grabbed the can next to my bed spot and headed to the sidewalk.

"Be careful, Zoey." I chuckled and looked back at her.

"I'll be fine. I always am, mom." When i arrived at the street, I noticed some people were playing music on makeshift instruments. Smiling, I walked over and leaned against the wall.

"Eh, Zoey! You're alive!" Lorrence, on the drums said as he noticed me. I chuckled.

"Hey, Lorrence. Mind if I dance and sing to get some money?" Lorrence stopped, motioning to his brothers.

"For you girl? Anything!" I straightened and set my can down close to the crowd and Lorrence introduced me. I don't know why he insists on doing that. I'd rather they didn't know my name. "Ladies and gentleman! Please put your hands together for the very talented, Ms. Zoey Williams!" I usually went along with, bowing for the people to be kind.

"Thank you, thank you. Ladies and gentleman, it seems I've come up short on my song list today." This seemed to get people's attention. "Any request before I let go you go on your merry ways? It's only a pound a request." I noticed some mothers had their kids with them. "And please keep it PG since we have some little ones listening." A few chuckles went throughout the crowd and a little girl came up with her mom, putting a pound in the can. Smiling, I knelt down to her height. "And what song would like to sing?"

"Can you sing Shake It Up? B-by Selena Gomez?" I smiled and stood up.

"Of course. Good choice and thanks for the song. You really helped me." She smiled and her and her mother backed up to the large crowd that formed on the sideway. It was big crowd and was perfect to do this. "Boys, you ready?"

"You start, love." I chuckled and faced the crowd, starting dancing, singing a second after.

Don't like waiting, Don't like waiting

Let's go right now!

Gotta' hit the ground

Dancing 'fore the music

Slows down

What I'm sayin', What I'm sayin'

If there's something to fix

Take it to another level,

This is the remix

Everybody, everybody

Get out on the floor

It can get a little crazy

When the kick hits the floor
