chapter 14 ~ regret ~

Ryosuke is sitting beside the younger's bed who is sleeping soundly. He is looking at the latter's angelic features that he loved. His tears finally fell when he remembers what the doctor told him a while a ago about Yuri's current condition. He holds the chibi's small hand tight, afraid to let it go.

"I told your parents about this already before, his condition got worsen." the doctor told him while looking at Yuri. "I told them that if ever we don't find any donor for him for the heart transplant immediately, he might not reached the age of 18 or so. But as of now, we really don't see any donor for his transplant, I'm sorry but we have to wait. I just hope that he fight for it." he looked at Yuri who is sleeping on the bed, he felt like his world crushed when he heard the news. He didn't know this, their mom never told him about this. If they told him about this, he will never waste his time on other things and just be with Yuri. "We will just check on his condition within 24 hours." and the doctor goes outside the room.

He cried more while kissing the back of the younger's hand. He called their parents and told what happened. They said they will come. He put some strands of hair away from Yuri's face and touched his cheeks. The younger is pale and thin compared to past months. How come he didn't noticed that? Well because he's making himself busy on some other things and pretending that he doesn't care about the younger anymore which is a lie. He's just trying to forget those feelings he had for the latter but he can't, that's why he decided to distance himself but was unsuccessful.

He heard the door of the room opens and turned his head seeing their parents with worried face. Their mom immediately goes to Yuri's bed and kissed the younger on forehead then cry. He cried again seeing his parents reaction. He got up from his seat and looked at his mom.

"Tㅡthe dㅡdoctor told mㅡme that...t-thatㅡthey...ㅡstill didn't find hㅡhim a dㅡdonor aㅡand hㅡhe's in critical condition now..." he hiccups while saying those words. His mom cried more hearing the news and slightly hugged the younger. Their father pats his mom back supporting her. He looked away. "Mㅡmom onegai... IㅡI still lㅡlove Yuri... please..." he breakdown and slid himself on the cold floor. He just wanted their parents blessing for them continue their relationship. He doesn't want to waste any time now...

He looked again and saw his mom nodding as a response on his request, understanding what he wants to say. He cried more feeling like there's no more tears he can release. "Arigatou..." he whispered but enough for his parents to hear.

It's been three days since Yuri's confinement on the hospital. His daily routine is staying at the hospital after school and sleeping there. Yuri is shocked at his behavior at first, but got used to it as he told him that they parents are ok now with their relationship.

He went to the hospital straight when the school ends. He opened the door on his now again koibito. The younger smiled at him when he saw him opened the door going inside.

"Tadaima Yuri."

"Okaeri Ryo-nii." he flipped the book that he's reading and placed it on the bedside table.

"I bought you the books you wanted to read." he placed the paper bag on the seats and sits on Yuri's bed, the younger move aside a little bit so the older can sit beside him. They laid their backs on the bed, Ryosuke put Yuri's head on his right arm while the chibi snuggled close to him, sniffing his scent.

"Ryosuke~ your not doing all of this coz your pitying on me right?" he looked at his koibito on his eyes.

"Unn, there's no time that my love for you lessened. I've always love you. It's actually hard to pretend that I don't love you."

"Sorry for everything... and about Ryu-chan..."

"Ssssh... I know, and thank you for that. And I'm sorry too for not believing in you."

"Wakatta, it's ok. It's my fault anyway."

"You should sleep 'kay. You have to be healthy always. You have to takacare of yourself for me." he didn't hear any response from the chibi, he looked and saw the younger already sleeping, he kissed the latter's cheek and join him on his dreamland.
