kari's pov

who would have thought that two months with the alexander boys would fly past like it never even happened?

it's friday after school, nearly two weeks until summer break, it's our last school day with the guys.

most of the salvatore girls were outside saying their goodbyes - some giving tight hugs and exchanging contact details, other's crying dramatically, a few saying good riddance.

whereas, my friends and i sat with the boys on the green at the back of the school - the same spot where they made us a bet to sneak out for the first time ever.

"do you guys have to leave?" i inquired after a brief silence clouded over us all.

"well someone's got to go back to that school and try to burn it down again" sammy said, causing us all to cautiously glance at him. "i'm kidding, geez".

"we can still see you on weekends" jack mentioned.

i could already imagine the saturday antics that these boys would encourage us girls to get into already.

"or you can just sneak out after hours again" johnson suggested.

"the other night was officially the last of the whole sneaking out thing" meredith cleared up. "i don't think we'd be able to execute it as perfectly without you four any ways".

"speak for yourself, i'm so down for doing it again" chantelle exclaimed.

nate draped his arm over her shoulder, "well, i'd sure hope so, because i'd miss my lil ma too much".

chantelle kissed his puckered lips, before jack turned to ava and humourlessly did the same.

"i'll miss you too" he told, receiving an eye roll from ava before she gave in with a quick kiss.

jack pulled away with a childish grin.

"can't believe that you're all mine now" he bragged, although ava was left unsatisfied. "sorry, yes, you hate being identified as an object".

she chuckled at his correction and kissed his cheek, "you're so cute".

i smiled to myself at how happy i was for ava. finding someone that she really likes has always been incredibly hard for her, because of her parents. so, i'm glad that jack has proved he can treat her right because i know he will.

as we all sat discussing our plans when our school's segregate again, sammy suddenly leant over to me.

"hey, walk with me?" he whispered.

i furrowed my brows in confusion, then followed his actions of standing up.

"...yeah, sure" i hesitantly said as we left everyone in their own conversation and started walking along the rest of the green, that surrounded the back of the school.

i was expecting him to say something as soon as we started moving, but he kept completely quiet so i decided to step in.

"so, why did you want to take this very spontaneous walk?" i questioned.
