Crack and bridge

Flowers bloomed and swayed in the wind

In the valley of our love

With a tree amidst the flowery field

Nurturing a messenger dove.

But one day the earth shook

There formed a mighty crack

You were on one side

I was on other

And I badly wanted you back

I had the tree on my side

The dove was with me now

It flew across the crack

And joined us somehow

We could not meet

The gap couldn't be filled

Then came a day

I found a shawl

Of some lady

While I strolled

I saw you then

Walking with her

Smiling and beaming

Hand in hand

I broke down, withered away

For days I was silent

I got your messages

We still talked but my heart was violent

I just hope there are no more cracks

The lady doesn't lose you

And I wish this tree to be cut

And swayed upon the crack

So that you and your lady

Walk across it some day

To lay flowers on my burial's back.
