The Body

Kamile's POV:

I could smell it so strongly it almost made me gag. Shadowhunters can smell demon blood from a mile away, but this time, we couldnt? Why? I asked Katy why we couldnt smell it before we opened up the hole in the wall and we were all baffled and confused. The next moment, Maria walked in. We had completely forgotten about her coming along. When she walked in, she didnt seem to notice the sickening smell. Then I remembered, Maria is a mundane. (A mundane is a human, with no supernatural blood so completely human) How were we going to keep Maria soundless like us, if she wasnt a shadowhunter!? We can't draw runes on a mundane because it will instantly kill them. Looks like we will just have to take a massive risk. Great.

Katie N's POV:

We turn our thoughts back to the Demon blood we couldn't smell until we opened the panel. I take a look at the front of the panel, and Amber was looking at the side that was inside the wall. She brightens up and shouts "SHADOWHUNTER BLOOD" and we all gasp. The purple blood from a shadowhunter is smeared all over the back of the panel. THATS WHY WE COULDNT SMELL THE DEMON BLOOD, BECAUSE IT WAS DISGUISED BY SHADOWHUNTER BLOOD! And of course, we wouldn't think anything of smelling shadowhunter blood because there is 6 of us in here.

So whoever uses this passage way, has injured a demon and a shadowhunter. Great.

Katy R's POV:

Im the first person to crawl into the hole in the wall under the desk and stand up. Its about a metre wide and 2 metres high. Ellie follows behind me, then Amber, then Kytha, then Kamile, then Katie and at the end is Maria. We thought she should go at the end so she could get out the quickest if we need to escape, because she isnt invisible. This is going to be an adventure. I tell the girls to remember we aren't doing anything dramatic, just having a look around to see what lies in the walls of our school.

Amber's POV:

We begin to walk down the passage way, and we can either go left or right. It's a maze. We decide to take left, then right, then left, then right, because the demon blood trail went that way. We came to a door with a sign saying 'keep out, or die.' The demon blood scent became unbearably strong. Katy, who is at the front of the line puts an ear on the door and signals that the coast is clear. She opens the door and there are steps. We go down and we are in some sort of science lab, (thats obviously hidden underground) and on a silver metal table on wheels in the center of a room, was a rather large motionless body covered in a white sheet.

Kytha's POV:

We all walk over to the table, shaking, and me, being the bravest of the bunch, didnt think it was a body. So I uncovered the sheet to prove me right, and there lies Miss Reeves. Motionless but alive. a pipe sent some purple liquid into her mouth. The purple liquid smelt familiar... SHADOWHUNTER BLOOD!? This was used to make demons extremely powerful. We have to stop the blood supply. How dare someone kill a shadowhunter for their blood? Speaking of the dead shadowhunter, I looked on the table that was in the far corner of the room. On it lay the shadowhunter he had killed for the blood, drained of colour, gashes all over her body that were bone dry. The shadowhunter was Miss Johnson. One of the shadowhunters that hardly ever used their skills. Probably didn't even know how to use them anymore. The most easiest target.

Ellie's POV:

Footsteps. Getting closer. I warned the girls and we began to run for the cupboard that was big enough to fit us all in. I pulled the pipe to stop the blood supply and ran to the closet. The door opened and 2 men walked in. I was looking through the crack in the door of the cupboard. One of the men, Kamile told me, was the man digging in the forest of the school this morning. Black suit, pink tie. It was Mr stokes. The other man was un identifiable but sounded foreign. Mr stokes started telling the other man how he planned to make miss reeves the most powerful demon by filling her with shadowhunter blood and sending her to Mr Woods office to steal the golden cup. Oh god, we have a robbery on our hands. But for now, we need to workout how to get out of this cupboard, alive.
