*Elijah*
I made my way into the compound seeing my brother, Marcel, and his inner circle talking in a group.
"Ah Elijah just in time." Niklaus states.
"Thank you for your help Elijah." Marcel states.
"I would say my pleasure, but I am not certain as to what I am helping with."
"Yes, that was my bad." Klaus begins. "I knew if I told you of our plan, you might not agree."
I give him a skeptical look. "You know brother, just because I am here doesn't mean I will agree to help you."
"And the thought of a great power falling into the wrong hands won't do anything to sway your decision."
I look between him and Marcel, dark eyes meeting me with intense and amused looks.
"You see Elijah, I believe a friend of mine has been taken. A women by the name of Ophelia."
My mind wanders back to the human at the manor. Her slim frame in those tattered clothes, her dark tresses in a tangle mess, and her dark green eyes. Although they are a beautiful endless cavern of shimmering emeralds they did hold a deep fear in that alleyway. Pulling myself from my thought I address the group.
"Is she a threat to anyone?"
"No." Marcel begins. "But she posses certain abilities that can be used against us."
"Are the deadly?"
"In the right hands." Klaus answers.
"How did she get away?"
"Well she did escape." Marcel begins. "Diego went to after her."
"Some one got behind me, snapped my neck."
"By the time we got there she was gone." Another follower states.
"So you see our problem Elijah, some unknown vampire has made off with my friend." Marcel states.
"Fancy a little hunting trip, brother?"
"As much fun as your hunting trip sounds I am going to have to decline. I honestly don't feel the need to get involved in your petty matters."
"Perhaps I didn't make myself clear, she can be very harmful to us in the wrong hands." Marcel states.
"Oh I heard you quiet clearly, however I'm not interested. If I should find a women named Ophelia I will be sure to alert you of her whereabouts. Now if you excuse me."
Marcel steps up to object but Klaus rest a hand on his shoulder.
"Very well brother, have it your way."
I adjust my tie giving a slight nod to my brother before quickly vanishing out of the compound. Upon return home I quickly head up to the spare room Ophelia is in. Quietly appearing in the doorway I take in the sight before me. Ophelia lays in the bed curled in a small ball, hair fanning out over the pillow, chest slowly rising and falling with each breath. Her heart beat is slow, strong, meticulous beat. I make my way to the closet, quietly pulling out a small blanket and draping it across her small frame. I stare down at her, my eyes taking in the small details of her face. Her thick dark lashes which curve at the end, and her faint pink lips which although slightly chapped were full and supple. Her skin is pale, with a faint hint of what was once a summer glow, and the few faint almost unnoticeable freckles that pepper her cheeks; a feature I only noticed due to my sharp vampire senses. Her fragrant is a soothing lavender with a small hint of lemon an aroma probably gained from Rebekah's soap. Some stray hair falls onto her face, I go to brush it back but stop myself. I quickly return my hand it my side, walking away from the bed. I shut off the light before quietly closing the door.
"So who is she?" Rebekah questions the second I shut the door.
I raise my eyebrow, easily walking pass her and down the stairs. "A guest, for the time being." I felt her on my heels as I walk through the house.
"Surely she isn't the girl our brother and Marcel are looking for?"
I give her a quick sideways glance. "Well it's seems as if news travels fast in these parts."
I grab a blood bag from the fridge, tossing in the microwave.
"Elijah the whole quarter is looking for this girl?"
I turn to face her. "And your point being?"
"What do you Klaus is going to do to you when he finds out you've been hiding her here?"
The microwave beeps. "Probably praise me and then us her for his own gain."
Rebekah's hand slams against the door. "Have you gone mad? First Hayley now this girl, this isn't a hotel Elijah."
I easily move her hand opening the microwave. "Hayley is the mother of our niece and as for Ophelia perhaps befriending her will be our best option."
She rolls her eyes. "You can not be friend with everyone brother."
I empty the blood bag, quickly tossing it in the trash. "Has our brother or Marcel told you the reason they so desperately want this girl?"
"I assume it's because she is like Davina."
"I am not certain if she is a witch." I answer truthfully. "Marcel only said she posses certain abilities that can be used against us."
"What kind of abilities?" She questions curiously.
"He wouldn't say, which tells me one of two things. Either he doesn't known or he doesn't want anyone else to find out."
"That still doesn't excuse the fact that you kidnapped her."
"Quiet the contrary dear sister, I rescued her."
"Is that what you're calling it?" She snaps.
"When I stumbled upon her, Diego had her dangling above the ground gasping for breath. Just from her appearance you could tell she wasn't being treated fairly. She looked more like a prisoner then Marcel's friend."
"Be that as it may what are you going to do with her?"
"We shall worry about that in the morning."
"We?"
"Yes, I expect you to help me."
She rolls her eyes. "If it's not Klaus it's you. I would like to live my own life." She snaps.
I adjust my left cuff link glancing over my shoulder. "Like it or not Rebekah, Klaus and I are a part of your life."
I make my way up the stairs, I pause at Ophelia's door hearing her quiet heartbeat from behind the closed door. As I lay in bed my mind drifted back to her and those beautiful green eyes. My dreams were plagued with her image, those green eyes looking at me with every emotion imaginable. A smile gracing her features that I have yet to see. Then my dream took a dark turn at the familiar sight of a blood red door.
