Chapter 2: ZOMBIES?!

When I arrived at the studio, I saw a lot of the 'people' crowding around. I went into a secret entrance and got out of my car. I rushed up to the recording studio that I usually used and saw my manager and the recording crew. The moment my manager saw me, she immediately came to me and checked me for any injuries.

"I am fine Ella. All I did was drive here. Chill out" I reassured my manager knowing she would probably overreact if I said anything about my encounter with the "person" before.

"I know I know... I just need to make sure" she sighed.

"So, what are those things? I cannot keep on calling them "people" when they don't seem like a person," I stressed on the inverted commas while saying person.

"Do you really wanna know??" She asked me. The whole crew was looking at my patiently but I could see the want to know what is going on in their eyes.

"Yes tell me" I replied with a serious look on my face. Nothing prepared me for what I would hear next.

"Zombies." Ella said. Everybody stared at her not believing a word she said.

"Sorry could you say that again? And a little louder?" I asked her. I needed to confirm what I heard was correct so I leaned towards her.

"They are zombies" Ella repeated. Her look on her face should that she wasn't kidding. It took a moment for everybody to digest what she just said.

Ella POV

"HUH?!?!? ZOMBIES?!?!?!" Everyone shouted. 'I called it. I knew they would act like this' I thought.

"Yes. I got information that some scientists were trying to find a way for people to still stay alive after they had died so that they would live longer. However, during one of the tests, the test subject went berserk and went on a rampage. He killed all 27 scientists and 105 patients.

However, they came back to live like what the scientists predicted. What they didn't know was how. The test subject that they tested on was their first success. He was killed but came back to live. As they were trying to see if the undead could be calmed, he got frustrated and killed them. So when he bit them, his saliva containing traces of the solution went into them and they all came back to live and are now trying to turn everyone into zombies." I explained.

"So... what you are saying is that zombies are real and are trying to kill us?" Luna questioned.

"Yes that is what I mean. We have to defend ourselves against the zombies as the government will not help us. They are too busy defending themselves to help us... Are you guys in?" I replied. I wanted to know if they want to help kill the zombies. Even if they didn't want to, I don't really mind. I would still protect them especially Luna.

"Meh, why not? It would be more interesting than just staying home and doing nothing", Luna replied. I knew she would say that. She was always one for adventures and action. Everybody started nodding their heads agreeing to what I had said.

"Then, let us go and hunt some zombies!" Everybody yelled after me in agreement. I just hope I would not lose Luna to the zombies. We all left the studio and rode of towards the setting sun.
