Zak's POV

I had just gotten home from a tough lockdown and all I wanted to do was sleep. Gracie was at my friends house so I was free to just go to bed.

It was 9pm when my head finally hit the pillow after a nice long shower, and within ten minutes I was out. But that wasn't for long when I had started hearing things footsteps down the hallway of my bedroom.

I looked over at my clock it read 2:30 am this can't be "just leave me alone I just want to sleep!" I called out frustrated and being over tired which was my mistake....

After I had fallen asleep for the second time my covers were pulled from me and I was dragged out of my bed for the second time in my life "no! I'm not going through this shit again!" I yelled and got to work on getting rid of whatever was here.

The next morning my friend had drove over around 10 am and knocked on my door I opened the front door looking like hell in sure but all she had to do was look at me to know something was wrong.

"Happening again?" She asked me which I simply nodded to her with a small sigh she came up and hugged me tight which I guess I needed more then I thought.

Y/N'S POV

I had woken up around nine and zak had not called for me to drop Gracie off which was odd because he usually called if something was up so naturally I was worried.

So after getting dressed I hopped into the car Gracie hot on my tail with her in the passenger seat we drove to her home.

When I had knocked and the front door finally opened I had seen a very tired and worn out Zak. I already knew what had happened with just the expression on his tired face. So I did what any good friend would do I hugged him.

After what seemed like forever but it was really only a minute I had let go and looked up at him. "Come on let's get some sleep" I told him and he walked back to his room I let Gracie off her leash and she went and got something to drink and eat.

As I walked into the bedroom there was no Zak so I had called out for him and he emerged from his walk in closet off his bathroom in nothing but some baggy pj pants. "Heaven help me" I thought

I snapped out of it and walked over and pulled the covers back he got in first and I had pulled all the curtains closed and walked over to the bed and laid down this had become a routine of ours after a bad lockdown. I laid back and he pulled me over to his side and he laid his head on top of my chest.

"Goodnight Zak" I told him softly and rubbed his back and shoulders letting him go to sleep.

After a few good hours of sleep and a nap for myself I had woken up and had seen a still sleeping Zak. I got up and went and checked on Gracie letting her outside and giving her fresh food and water and got myself a water from the fridge.

"Hey" he said causing me to drop the bottle onto the floor luckily the lid was on

"Hey! I know you have a knack for sneaking up on people but don't do it to me!" I said as he had a laughing fit

"Glad you see it so funny I'm leaving" you say grabbing your stuff.

"No no no no no no no no!" He said

"What?" You looked back

"Stay please..." He said

"Why?" You ask him

"Because" he simply said

"Ok I'm going" you say headed to the door only to be lifted and turned and was now over Zak's shoulders.

"Don't you man handle me!" I yelled just as I was tossed and thrown onto the couch "whoa whiplash" I sighed covering my eyes and then felt a weight on top of me moving my hands quickly I seen Zak checking me over

"Zak what do you want?" I asked him softly

"You to stay" he said

"I need to know why" I said and he looked me into my eyes and said "because you make them go away I don't know how it's like they can't bother you plus you make the night terrors non-existent so please stay" he asked

"Are you sure it's just not for my chest pillows?" I cracked a smile and he smiled back.

"Well that's another reason" he winked with a smirk

"Ok ok I'll stay to make you happy" I told him and he smiled and kissed my cheek which lingered which made me turn my face towards him and our lips just barely grazing leaving a slight tickle against them. Then it was like lightning had struck us both as we both leaned in and kissed each other it was perfect nothing could ruin this and I was going to make damn sure nothing was going to hurt him ever again. I vowed it.
